Can the remote be used to control other devices (e.g. tv on/off, blu-ray player controls, etc.)?

When I use my Apple TV remote, it turns off the amp, the Apple TV and the TV.

Does the tx-sr494 support devices such as my samsung blueray that uses only 2.2 hdcp? i’m getting an error that this unit does not support 2.2 hdcp.

Can you connect a standard microphone to the setup mic port for singing, etc.?

Hello, The setup mic that is on the front panel is only for the calibration microphone to calibrate the speakers. If you are wanting to connect a microphone for singing you would have to attach either a mixer or a karaoke device to the receiver.-JS
