A Walk Through the Woods Hardcover – Picture Book, March 20, 2018

This is an absolutely beautiful book. The simple story is really a quiet visit to the forest. Highly recommended for young children.

The artist who made the paper cut out is very skilled and deserved every penny they earned.But I came across this book from searching “pop-up books” and the paper cut out was so well made they look very 3D from photo alone. But in reality it’s a very flat book with a hole cut out in the center of each page, which is a slight let down from my expectations.For disclaimer I did grew up with some of the most amazing pop-up books in the 90’s, and I was really thrilled when I thought I found something like that, but this book is nothing like those pop-up books.But given that this book was 40% off for $11.99 and how beautiful the pages are I cannot give this book anything less than a 5/5.But if you were expecting an amazing pop-up books, this book isn’t that.To address someone’s concern with sharp cut outs, it is true, the leaves are very pointy, but at the same time this isn’t a book that I would let a young child read on their own unless I already accepted the fact that they’ll destroy the pages.If you’re an artist who wish to learn something, this book is definitely amazing.Final thought: thank you for creating such a beautiful book!

Great book and so cute

Love this set. Any age would love them. Beautiful

The book is absolutely beautiful, great calming story, and I love reading it to my kids. I'm only sad it doesn't come as a board book because the pages are so incredibly delicate, which makes it impossible for my kids to completely enjoy as I don't want the pages to get torn. Therefore this is not a book I reach for often with them. Hopefully in their older days as they learn to be a bit more careful and are learning to read we can crack it open more.

The book is very well done, few words, but the art is absolutely stunning, and the tunnel book effect is well done. The children the book was purchased for love it.

I purchased this book as a baby shower gift. It was so beautifully done, that I bought an additional copy for myself.The cut-outs are very intricate, so I'm not certain they can withstand young hands, but this is a visually stunning book with a wonderful story, no matter your age.
