Bought a new gaming chair that would not stay up,couldn't return since it fell out of return date. Tried the oil trick,hose clamp trick didn't work. Saw this and thought why not try it out. Does the job. I think it may have inches up a tiny bit, but my chair came loaded with oil so I'm really not surprised. Even so, it is still keeping me from sinking down.
