We got these so that we could use our metaquest 3 with eyeglasses. The installation was smooth. They worked well. But within the first 24 hours of being installed, the two small magnets that fix the protector to the pancake lens area had already fallen out. These magnets are tiny. And without them, the eyeglass protector will not stay in. This is the second product for this purpose we have purchased. A previous purchase resulted in the wrong product being sent. Then we found this one. Wish the magnets had stayed attached. Cheaply made. Not sturdy.

Update Aug 2024 Adding a photo to this, and decreasing my rating. The magnets fall out easily from the part that snaps into the headset, rendering the product useless. I would have tried to glue it back in but finding the tiny magnets once they fall out proves impossible. The attached photo shows one of the eye pieces without and with the magnets. If the magnets would stay in, it would be an amazing product. Original review below: While I followed the directions, I didn’t realize the “click” was going to be such a hard push into the eyepiece. It kept falling out, but I went through the amazon reviews and saw someone suggest pushing it in very hard, and when I did that, it clicked in and works perfectly now! I only wish there were a small bag or something for the extra pieces when not in use.

got this because jaybratt on YouTube said this is his preferred lens protection and so far it works perfectly would recommend protect your lenses

Fits perfect, quality product.

So while this could be useful, they amount to not being a great item to have. They are magnetic retention, but so far I have seen the right lens fall out twice. This seems to indicate that the magnets could have been stronger. I mean who wants to figure out there they headset lens has been scratched, because these things don't say fixed in place? Secondly, they are a bit tricky to install. You will find yourself repositioning these lens protectors until the finally snap in place. While the intent was a good one take it that they are not to be trusted.

And then after fiddling with them not knowing that was the problem. it scratched up my lenses had to bust out the super glue and glue them back in and they are smaller then small so if your lens are not Moving into their spots correctly then the magnets probably fell out and the are hard to see when they are stacked like that. Ironic product ugh
