This adapter is awesome, the fuse box in my car is very difficult to access and after trying to figure how to wire into the fuse box I gave up. However, with the OBD adapter there is no guessing, just plug and connect. I like the feature to enable constant monitoring, the adapter will turn off to save battery power should the voltage drops below a predetermined amount. I highly recommend this for its simplicity. Mind that this provides a hardwire connection for power without using the ugly cigarette plug connector.

Bought as an alternative to the 12volt adapter that came with our dash cam. Added bonus it has a toggle switch that allows you to switch between constant and accessory power. The cable is very long so figure out where you'll stow the excess beforehand. The plastic trim tool is easy to use and I was not worried about damaging my car. Cable is plastic encased but thick and durable while small enough to get under trim edges.

I have bought this to avoid tempering the fuse box and wasting off time! It works perfectly. It has a switch to turn it On/Off as you wish. I would recommend it for people unnecessarily don't want to mess with their car’s original design.

This adapter was easy to install and the cable was plenty long enough to reach the dash cam I mounted on the passenger side of my car's windshield. It powered the cam as soon as I turned on the ignition, and I didn’t experience any erratic behavior like spontaneous shutdowns or reboots. The adapter cut power about 20 minutes after I turned off my car, so battery drain was negligible and not a concern. (My remote starter app also monitors my car's vitals, and it never showed any significant battery drain from the delayed shutdown.)The only downside was that parking mode didn’t work with my dash cam. I have a Redtiger F77, which requires voltage from both a 12V constant and an ACC source to enable parking mode. Since this adapter only provides the 12V constant, the camera wouldn’t enter parking mode and instead displayed the message: "Unsupported, please insert the ACC." I suspect this is the same issue others mentioned in their reviews when they said parking mode didn’t work for them either.Because I never had the opportunity to test it, I can’t comment on how well the low-voltage cutoff feature works. Otherwise, it's nice quality and the inclusion of a panel removal tool is convenient. Ultimately, though, I ended up returning it.

This product claims that it will shut off once the battery level reaches 11.6 volts to prevent damage and drainage to the car battery. Teice this thing happened to me where my battery died and can’t get it to jump start so I can go on with my day. I had to huy bew battery for both my cars. Caution to those who wants to use this product, it will drain your battery.

I bought this to power my dashcam without having to remove parts of the interior to wire it in as I don’t have a12v outlet to plug into. I read all the reviews and for the price was worth taking a risk. I have a 2017 Subaru Forester with a 3yr old battery. I plugged this in and ran the wire along the trim and headliner, very easy didn’t need any clips. I checked the parasitic draw on my battery before and after install using the switch to turn power off to the camera once the car power is off. Parasitic draw before and after was 30 milliamps. Another check is that I cannot connect to my camera’s WiFi after about 2 minutes once car power is off. Every car could be different depending on what keeps the car in standby mode but for me this works really well.
