Amazon Brand - Presto! Active Wash Detergent Powder | 8 Kg | Tough On Stains | Gentle On Fabrics | Colour-Safe | Refreshing Fragrance | Machine And Hand Wash

I've been using the Presto! Active Wash Detergent Powder for the past several weeks, putting it through rigorous real-world testing across a wide variety of fabrics, stain types, and wash conditions. Here's my honest, detailed take.Stain Removal Performance-This is where Presto! truly earns its stars. I tested it on common household stains — curry, mud, cooking oil, and sweat — on both cotton and synthetic fabrics. The results were consistently strong. Even ground-in collar stains, which I deliberately left to set for 24 hours, came out clean after a single machine wash cycle at 30°C. For particularly stubborn stains, a quick pre-soak of 15–20 minutes followed by hand wash delivered near-perfect results.Gentle on Fabrics & Colour Safety-I was pleasantly surprised by how soft fabrics felt post-wash — no stiffness or roughness that cheaper detergents often leave behind. I specifically tested it on a few coloured kurtas and cotton sarees that I'm usually cautious about washing. No colour bleeding, no fading. After multiple washes, colours retained their vibrancy. The "colour-safe" claim is not marketing fluff here — it held up.Fragrance-The fragrance is fresh, clean, and not overpowering — a genuine plus. It lingers lightly on clothes without the artificial heaviness you get from some budget brands. Great for everyday wear, especially in Delhi's warm, humid months.Machine & Hand Wash Compatibility-I tested this in a front-load washing machine as well as for hand washing delicates. It dissolves well in both warm and cold water, with no residue left on dark fabrics — a common problem I've faced with other powder detergents. The 8 Kg pack size is excellent value for families with high laundry volumes. What Could Be Better-A measuring guide printed on the packaging for different load sizes would be a helpful addition. First-time users may be uncertain about dosage for smaller loads.

Average quality washing powder.Quantity seems less than claimed 8Kg, as it seems that sand particles are also in it.Fragrance is mild. Residue is less compared to many others. Slightly high on price point. Not that good but overall normal quality product. VFM product for middle class.

Causing irritation on skin. Don't buy this detergent. Not good for skin.. Really saying. I purchased 5 boxes and suffering. I just throwed after noticing it. Allergic reactions this powder is causing. Crap product. Pls Dont buy. I request you all.

Very poor quality detergent powder. It does not clean clothes properly and fails to remove even ordinary stains. The fragrance is not good, and the overall quality is disappointing. It does not dissolve properly in water and leaves white marks on the fabric. The product is not worth the money. I am completely dissatisfied with this purchase and would not recommend it to others.

It is the best economical detergent powder m, i have been usins it for many years and its absolutely safe on skin and clothes , its the same i receive everytime no changes in the quality amazon provide a authenticated product always ,the only issue is that this detergent is only sold on amazon and no whr else. But as its solely an amazon product maybe thats why sold here only. I wash all.my clothes in this detergent .

I wanted a washing powder without any animal bones, but even this does contain some sort of animal bones. So only 4 stars.

Great, it clean well. I purchased one 8kg every month
