A lot cheaper then EMP Shield
Plugs right in and a little light comes on and stays on. They say it won't drain the battery. I guess time will tell. Bought one for each car hope it works if I ever need it. My Update unless you drive your vehicle every day, chances are your battery will run down. Just be aware of that. I am retired and don't go out for days at a time so one of my cars it's battery ran down and needed charged. So I keep my cars battery plugged into a trickle charger.

I cannot test it.
The TRAP arrived and I plugged it in. I have no way of testing it, so, good luck.

Itโs doing something?
Of coarse how do you know itโs working? The little green light comes on. Gives a dash of hope itโs working. Hope it never has to be tried out.

Easy to Install โ๏ธ
I can't say if the filter works, until my vehicle is hit by a lightning bolt or am exposed to a EMP field, which I haven't been. These are popular preparedness filters as a faraday defense. I bought two, one for our SUV and one for our Avalanche truck and plugged them into the OBD2 ports under the steering column. No sparks flew and the engine started. So far so good. Recently, there was danger of solar flares from the sun causing grid issues from EMP emissions. My wife and kids took a 2 hour trip same day. I was picturing vehicles dead along the road from toasted electrical systems, and my family stranded with a fried cell phone. I would rather picture them be safely weaving in an out of a Apocalyptic scene of dead vehicles scattering the highway. Thus I was prompted to act versus taking a chance. The Defcon battery module is more effective, but the price point is out of our reach. Hoping these serve the purpose. ๐

11 days for stock item delivery
I donโt know whose fault it was (Faraday Defense or Amazon), but an item shown in stock with a 2 day delivery shouldnโt take 11 days to deliver. Does it work? Hopefully better than inventory/delivery system.

Stupidly bought 3 of these
I don't think there's any evidence out there that these work it also states that it doesn't drain the battery but when you plug it in the lights always on so that's obviously going to be draining the battery I don't have much faith in this product.

Essential ECM E1 Fast Transient Protection
Iโve used the T.R.A.P. Systems before and have done quite a bit of research into EMP/CME protection for many years, and Grok gives my protection in total a 8/10 to protect against EMP intensity of 50kV/m or CME like the 1989 Quebec blackout. But I have also added in other products of faraday defense, like their vehicle Transient clamping ferrites, DEFCON 270,000amp SPD, T.R.A.P. Between secondary battery terminals, and I made my own TRAPs and breadboards with SLD33-018 and V24ZA50P MOVs for 12v sockets(TVS with the MOV attached to it). Breadboard wires go between battery terminals and has 4 movs and 10 SMAJ16CA, coated in electrical glue.

good kit
This idea is outstanding. I bought 3, one for each car. Note it has a small LED green light to let you know its on duty. At night when very dark its nice to get into the car with too. But if you have a bad battery, at -40C, it could flatten your battery below needed cranking amps after a month or 2, depending upon your Amp Hr battery size, age, condition, etc. or it could go for more than year before it flattens a large good battery. So run your car more than once a year, once a month in the winter. Love the fact that it looks after stray voltages, battery shorts, EMP, CME, lightning strikes, ground faults, while directly connected to the computer. Best car computer protection you can get, even if you don't worry about EMP/CME stuff.
