Holds up well to rough little hands
This works great for helping your little to learn how to trace lines without them getting upset when they mess up. No marks, no problems. Our little nephew is loving the shapes right now and his mom loves that he has four side of different things to choose and learn from. Also, its great for travel, no marker, no pen, no mess! The only down side is the wooden pencil does not attach to the board, so you do need to keep up with it.

Love This
As a former primary teacher, I was looking for something to use with my own sweet grands. This worked great, specifically when I was helping her in making the letters using the correct strokes with the correct grip. Thank you for a neat product!

Grooves not all deep, but good enough
I knew going into it that the grooves wouldn't be deep enough on all the letters. I read it in other reviews and went ahead anyway because I figured it was worth it for the price. I still think it was worth it. I have a woodburner that I can deepen the grooves if I really want to. Maybe I will eventually. But for now it serves its purpose and it was an attractive price.

They serve their purpose
The boards were smaller than I thought they would be but they do help my students with fine motor disorders

You’re better off learning on a screen tablet or with a pencil.
These are fairly cheaply made and the grooves are not as good as they could be. You’re better off getting an actual writing pad or the disappearing ink kind….. I think the numbers and curves they put on the board to help kids do it in the correct order, are more of a distraction…. they confuse my autistic son.. I bought this and hoped that he would learn to just hold the pen. He loves letters numbers and shapes…. But he won’t hold a pencil to draw them. I thought maybe he would just trace with his finger before learning to hold a pen…. Like he traces his finger on a screen tablet. But he doesn’t even do that…..on these wooden boards. Maybe he’ll catch on with some more one on one teaching…. But he does not seem interested at this point.
