Pure Classic C-D6 Music System (CD Player, DAB+/FM, Bluetooth, AUX, USB, Alarm Sleep Timer) Coffee Black/Walnut

I don't usually write reviews, but after receiving my Pure Classic C-D6 radio I was surprised at how good it was. The Pure Classic C-D6 was abit bigger than I thought, it is fairly deep at 28cm. This being said the build quality of the cabinet is solid. The volume and Selector dials are plastic but are perfectly acceptable. CD tray is abit flimsy but adequate. At £180 you can't complain. DAB Radio... (This is where it shines) DAB radio station were very easy to scan/tune and preset. You get 30 presets which is plenty. It managed to pick up over 120 DAB stations. I was very impressed and happy with this due to some reviews saying they had issues picking up stations. The stations are crystal clear. I was up and running with presets installed within 10 minutes. Sound... The sound quality is more than sufficient and has plenty of power at 30 watts if you wanted to play louder. It also has 3 eq settings, but I didn't notice any sound difference between them. Overall all this is a great system if you want to listen to DAB radio, play cds or Bluetooth music. It also has an aux in! For the price I don't think you could find better. Edit: Update... I have now had this stereo for a month now and it's been working fine but the usb-A socket doesn't recognise my mp3 player. That's not a big issue as the stereo has an 3.5mm aux in input, so I can use that. Also the dab+ radio has been working flawlessly. I would highly recommend this product!

I would echo what many other reviewers have said regarding sound quality, functionality. It's a good bit of kit, everything I've used ,(Dab, Bluetooth and CD player) have worked flawlessly also the remote is fine so no complaints there. However I've knocked a star off, since Pure have moved to a fixed Arial and did away with the F connector that they used in earlier models. (I owned their first Dab radio) This unfortunately makes it slightly less flexible in placement which I discovered when having to relocate it, so bear that in mind before buying. Apart from that it's recommended.

A very nice all in one sound system from Pure. I’ve had several radios from Pure over many years and they’ve never let me down - this is no exception. It’s great for DAB+ digital radio, FM radio playing CDs and streaming from your phone via Bluetooth. It also has connections for external devices if desired. The sound is very good and the unit looks great. As usual with all things electrical the instructions are fairly basic and of the Quick Start type, but the unit is actually pretty easy to set up and there is more help online if needed. A purist would probably want a separate amplifier and speakers etc, but for great quality sound and build in one unit I think that this is really good.

Good quality unit well made, with a lovely sound and tone. Bluetooth works well from mobile or iPod with easy setup. We’re very happy with this purchase

Good sound quality for a music system, good reception on both DAB+ and FM, (dependant on location), stable bluetooth connection, decent CD player and easy to navigate. OK, the sound from it is no match for my separates Hi Fi system, but at a fraction of the price I wouldn't expect it to be. Overall I'm very pleased with it.

I am unable to adequately convey just how disappointed I am with this Pure Classic C-D6 Music System. While it is true that it very quickly scanned all available DAB and DAB+ stations (I am in the UK) and it found some that I was not even aware existed, both national and local, that is the only good thing I can fairly report in this review. Nothing about this says "Quality", it is all plastic. The remote contol was flimsy and very obviously cheaply mad with one side having a sharp edge. The worst thing of all, and it is the most important part of any audio device, is the sound quality. It is utterly terrible, all middle frequencies with no bass or treble and it has a boxy quality to it, absolutely no definition what so ever. It does have three EQ presets but to my ears, there is hardly any difference between them and none improve the sound quality. To test the sound quality, I listened to 4 different DAB stations, 1. Classical, 2. R & B, 3. Classic Dance music, 4. Current Pop music. I also tried with 4 different CD's that I know inside out so that I know how they sound and again I chose, 1. Classical, 2. R & B, 3. Classic Dance music, 4. Current Pop music. The result was the same regardless of the audio source - it is astounding bad. I have a 20 year old Cassette / Radio that I dug out of a storage box and that sounded 200% better with bright, but not harsh, high frequencies and rounded well defined bass. How can it be that 20 years later that sound has not been improved upon? This is my honest review based on my real experience of diffent genre's of music using differend mediums.

Aparato satisfactorio, mejoraría si se pudiese seleccionar la fuente de sonido con botones directos en el propio aparato.

Belle qualité extérieure, le son est excellent, les réglages via l'appareil ou avec la télécommande sont faciles. Bonne réception de la radio numérique ; un peu moins pour la FM. Fonction cd ok

Suprisingly pleasant sound, nice and easy user experience. Good build quality. Considerations: Limited EQ options, no ability to store specific FM channels (works amazing on DAB+).
