Bough this tach as a recommendation from Chickanic and I can tell you it’s been a game changer in my shop. My helper thinks its the best thing since sliced bread.

It performed very well on all my stuff
Got it a few days ago. I ran around all my yard tools mowers, tractors, weedwhackers, hedge trimmers etc. Without using the clip on wire, the tach worked very well on all.The fact that this unit, like the other more expensive units, doesnt have a replaceable battery bothers me. However, after opening the unit I see that when thr day comes, i will simply solder in a CR2032 Watch type battery holder and tach it to the back cover. Problem solved. Currently the unit does run on a 3V Watch Battery that has solder tabs. There is heatshrink on the battery but im sure its a CR2032.The non replaceable battery is why it didnt get 5 stars. And it doesnt come with a bag to store it in.

Use to fine tune the carbs on all my string trimmers and leaf blowers to get max rpm. I've even used it on some mowers to re adjust the governor.
