Amerec 9270-029 Wood Seat, Teak/Chrome

We finally got our bathroom remodeled! I had to have this seat! I normally use a regular shower seat, that I have to lug in and out of our upstairs bath. Plus our bath shower downstairs is just a small standard size shower stall, so I knew a normal seat would be in the way, so I got this, so I can just flip it up and it be out of my way.. I love everything about this seat but when the guy opened it, he said there is a little damage to it, so he installed it, but I think it's more then a little, I guess cause it took us forever to get the bathroom done & I wanted everything perfect, it just sticks out like a sore thumb, I would have returned it, but it was already up, & put it awhile ago. But other then that, it is very nice. The last picture shows the damage.

This is a wonderful product. I had it installed over a year ago. It is very practical and very pleasing to the eye. It has held up well not showing any pitting or marking from the water and high humidity of the tub enclosure. Caution: Just make sure when you install it that you anchor it solidly to horizontal studs or plywood placed behind the cement board and tile of your bath or shower. You might want to up safety by placing grab bars close by. I've used another brand in the past of similar teak wood design but this is by far the best looking.

I love this seat. I put it in my newly remodeled master bathroom shower. I added some space, but still the shower is not huge. This seat is perfect when I need it and folds back up to wall very easily and handsomely. Great look and function!

Recent bathroom renovation. This is just what we were looking for at a good price. Love the stainless steel and teak and it is very sturdy and secure. Didn't want to take up valuable shower space with a fixed bench.

We purchased this for my shower. We've used it for 6 months and it works as expected. It looks great in our shower. Folds up and down nicely and easily. My husband likes to sit on it to shower after a long (and dirty) day at work.

Good seat, wood is beautiful. Sturdy when installed correctly. Great addition to my new glass shower.

I ordered this product on 12-22-11. Upon unpacking, I discovered that the chrome "plastic" on the unit was cracked in several places. The return was handled well and a new unit arrived on 1-5-12. This unit was also damaged in much the same way as the first. I have arranged for another return and will purchase a different product from a different manufacturer and supplier. Since my wife can no longer stand for more than a couple of minutes without help, I thought a shower seat was the best solution. Hope it is, but not with this unit since I could not even install. It might work if you are lucky enough to get an undamaged one which could be shipped in a more substantial and padded package. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT UNLESS YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE SIGNIFICANT DELAYS AND FRUSTRATION.

It does what it's supposed to do - hold me.
