This has been an excellent product for capturing couple photos of just my wife and me. We always struggled to take pictures together, but now it’s so convenient. The build quality is solid, and it offers good stability—I even used this monopod in a small stream, and it remained stable. The only drawback is that it doesn’t come with a smartphone mount or a Bluetooth clicker, so you’ll need to purchase those separately.

I've gone through more tripods than I'd like to admit. Wobbly cheap ones, bulky heavy ones, ones where the ball head gave out after two trips. The MT-79 has been a genuinely pleasant surprise. First thing I noticed when it arrived: it's light. Like, suspiciously light for something that extends to 81 inches. I was skeptical it would hold steady at full height but it does the job. I've used it for some outdoor video work and a few night shoots and haven't had any wobble issues as long as the surface is reasonably level. The ball head is smooth and locks down solidly. I mostly use it with a small LED fill light and my Sony ZV-E10, and swapping between them with the 1/4" screw takes about five seconds. That versatility alone is worth it for me. One stand that handles my light and camera depending on what I'm shooting. Portability is where this thing really shines. It collapses down small enough to slide into the side pocket of my camera bag without fighting for space. Took it to a weekend wedding shoot as a B-cam stand and it handled the whole day without complaint. A couple honest notes: the leg grip sections can feel a little plasticky, and I wouldn't trust it past the 1kg weight limit. That's real, not a suggestion. But for the price? It punches above its weight class. Solid buy for run-and-gun shooters or anyone who needs a capable travel stand without the bulk.

Very impressed with this stand for what I need it for. Holding up smaller, lightweight things like hair lights, a quick eye-level phone shot, action cameras or even reflectors. It goes incredibly high and compacts down small. Can also be used as a selfie-stick, though I haven't tried it, it will make a great one when I need it for that. I will be buying a second one so I have a pair of these for all sorts of handy things. Build quality seems excellent as well! If you put anything too heavy on it and extend it way up high and have it leaning 90 degrees (like a tube light tilted that way for example), it will bend to the side but, don't use it for something that heavy, use a more robust stand. But even that same tube light mounted straight up holds just fine all the way extended, which is higher than a lot of regular light stands can go!
