Imagine a world ....
Imagine a world where parents pay for their kids to pass their exams, where information can be uploaded straight into their brains ... exams are a breeze for the rich. Imagine a world where there isn't enough land left for the population, where the academic failures are sent into a watery exile. This is an addictive read - kids are fighting their parents and for their survival and trying to save friends. This is the second in the series, following on from the problems created by such a place ...

their happiness and even their lives to save their best friend ...
The Territory book 2 is a heartwarming tale that follows two friends on an adventure of a lifetime. They risk their health, their happiness and even their lives to save their best friend from the 'Wetlands' a place where even the birds don't dare fly. During their adventure, they meet many people. Some nice: some not. It shows these two friends that there is no point saving one person. They have to save them all.Despite the odds: mosquitoes that bring malaria, vicious fighters that burn all your protection and ground that is consistently moving. They keep moving.

Gripping and relevant dystopian master piece!
I got this and the first book in the series for my 13 year old niece after her mum said she was into YA fiction. Not only did I get a thank you letter but also a phone call to say how much she'd enjoyed it. Apparently 'most authors don't understand teenagers' but 'Sarah Govett is a genius and smashed it'. Said she couldn't put it down. Thank you Ms Govett for making me number one uncle!

A real page turner!!
I've been waiting to read this book as a follow on to the Territory (which had me gripped). Not wanting to give anything away. I can only recommend this trilogy, My nephew hasn't been able to put the book down, so Sarah Govett we are eagerly awaiting the next book!

Perfect for fans of The Hunger Games
Perfect for fans of The Hunger Games, The Territory: Escape continues the frightening dystopia from Govett's first novel where climate change has wrecked the planet and resources are extremely limited. Those who don't behave in a manner which pleases the ruling powers are cast out into a harsh landscape beyond The Fence, where it's far easier to die than to survive. Topical (creating space to think about issues such as genetic engineering and humankind's impact on the planet we live on), and edgy, this is a pacey read with great characters. A real page turner, I can easily see this being made into a film. And just one of the good things about this book - it leaves you pretty certain that there will be at least one more book in the series.

And so it continues... (brilliant by the way)
A fantastic continuation in the series! It definitely gets more involved and it does have you on edge few times. The book picks up pretty much where the first let off, so there is no major rehash needed. You can hear/read in the narration that Noa is definitely becoming more involved as well as more mature as the journey goes on. We get to learn even more about the wetlands, what the Opposition is about and what the Government in the territory is planning.I very much look forward to the third instalment!
