Fits my 2020 RAM 3500 perfectly!
First, this is an actual human/customer review, not a fake AI-generated one. Now, for the review: I used this part to replace the original tailgate protector that got thrashed on my 2020 RAM 3500, and the fit is flawless! The exact dimensions are only minimally different (like maybe around a 16th of an inch, mainly in the width) from the OEM part it replaced. I placed the cover on top of the naked tailgate, and all the pre-molded ‘prongs’ lined up perfectly with the manufacturers cutouts in the top of the tailgate. A slight push downward, and the piece was easily and securely seated perfectly in less than 5 seconds. The only imperfection I noticed was that the 6 holes on the inside/downward ‘lip’ of the piece, well they line up perfectly in the middle, but then start to creep ever-so-slightly offset the farther they get towards the sides of the bed. This didn’t matter though, when I inserted the plastic retainer clips (not sure if this is the ‘correct’ way to do it; maybe originally there were bolts in these holes…(?) - when I bought the truck, those holes were empty) they easily slid into the holes, even though the alignment of the holes was off by just a smidge. You cannot tell that anything is different unless you get out your micrometer on this thing (please see photos). Anyway, I took a gamble on this one, paying a higher price (there were other cheaper options available, but many of the reviews regarding the fit were negative), and it paid off. Having taken the risk, I can now highly recommend the fit, quality, color match, and ease of installation to anyone on the fence. I’m super happy with this product.

Doesn’t fit 99-06 Silverado
99-06 tailgate cap doesn’t fit. It also came damaged it’s not wide enough to sit on my tailgate this looks more like it fits the 88-98.
