Are the sketcher SR food service shoes really slip resistant?

I've been wearing them for about 7 months now, in 2 different fast food places and I haven't slipped the first time in them. When the ones I have wear out, I'm buying another pair.

Do these have shoelaces?

No they're elastic bands that stretch but you can't tie them.

What does the SR in the description stand for?

I don't know the problems the other people are having, they must be working in REALLY dirty kitchens. I wear them every day in my restaurant and have never slipped. I have slid a little bit when there was ice on our sub-zero freezer floor, but that was all. I would say that if you're in a clean kitchen there's no problems at all. The SR stands for slip resistant and they work fine for me. We have fryers and the dish area, so there are slick potential areas, I haven't slipped on pepperoni or sausage either. They're very comfortable and I spend 10 to 15 hours a day in my business without foot pain. I highly recommend them!

Are the insoles removeable

I have had mine for a full 7 months now. I average 30 hrs a week and need to replace because I have worn out the right big toe area. I use memory foam insoles AND arch support partials AND heel cushions as well as compression socks. Extremely satisfied if I do all that. You do need to size up and possibly go for wide if you do that though.
