Some people I know can just make their own patterns or can eyeball things and sew a dress. I am not that person. I need very clear patterns to follow. This is great for anyone who needs to outfit someone for a Hamilton, Bridgerton, Outlander, or other 1700s event. I suggest using 100% linen if you can find it because it’s so easy to work with and very comfortable. (Also, re-enactors tell me natural materials are safer around fires.) The chemise in this pattern also makes a really comfortable nightgown in linen… it’s really nice for good sleep. Happy sewing!
