I realized that it is like seaweed or something like it and I know how nutrient dense seaweed is. So that's why I decided to get it to try it as at this point in my aging life, I will try almost anything to help me feel a little better! LOL So overall, the flavor was OK. It has a slight earthiness that tasted a little odd with the tart elderberry flavor and the spicy ginger flavor. I don't mind elderberry but I am not a huge fan of ginger and I was sad to say that I could taste the ginger a little bit more than the elderberry. I did not add it to food as I couldn't think of anything that would taste ok with this flavor profile. The flavor was OK when I added into lemonade as a cold drink. It didn't dissolve as nicely as I thought it would but after some brisk whisking it did mix in. It was OK but not something that I would actively seek out. I know that it has some great health benefits but the flavor profile is something that I do need to get used to. I do give this a 4 star rating as I can see that they did try very hard to make this something that would be palatable to people who are not used to sea moss. So this might be a good introduction into Sea Moss as this was my first introduction and I am not completely grossed out by it! LOL I've read up on it and it looks like some other people had some really awful first experiences. So I am thankful that I had a better one. lol So if you like ginger and elderberry I think that you would love this! Review: Makes a great Moscow Mule - It’s been a while since Vine’s Sea Moss Gel Mixologist™ has come out with a new recipe/review—but here we are with a new flavor, elderberry ginger! The listed ingredients include elderberry juice and ginger juice, with none of the usual sweeteners like agave. Thus, I wasn’t sure how sweet or tasty it was going to be. But I knew that anything ginger would require testing with a Moscow Mule. My recipe is: -2tbsp serving of the sea moss gel -1 can lemon/lime flavored sparkling water (I don’t like the best known name brand’s lime flavor, so I used a store brand’s lemon/lime I had on hand) -a bit of sweetened lime juice, not measuring the exact amount (I probably used too much) -a serving of a relatively high-end vodka (No photos, since the traditional mule mug is opaque and you won’t see much) The sea moss gel itself is surprisingly delicious given that it doesn’t list additional sweeteners. I detect bits of ginger pulp in it (and see them in the mixed drink), which may be off-putting to those who don’t like pulp, but I’m fine with it. I do think I watered down the drink too much by using the whole can of sparkling water and too much lime juice, so I might use half or ¾ of it next time. You could also use ginger beer as in a more typical mule. The gel needed some effort to mix into the drink, possibly because the water and vodka were fresh out of the fridge/freezer. But it’s not the most difficult to mix that I’ve encountered. Overall, I’m very pleased with this flavor and I think I can tweak my mule recipe into something really unique with this gel.

It is definitely sea moss with a nice flavor added to it
Ok, I'll be very up front here: this was my first foray into the world of sea moss. I wasn't exactly sure what I was getting into, but I wanted to try it, especially since I love ginger and I love elderberries, so I wanted to try this flavor out. I've never had any other sea moss, but this seemed well perpared; it was smooth, and the added flavor was good. However, it is sea moss, and the underlying sea moss flavor is very strong. My daughter described it as "mold that someone tried to flavor with medicine". I'm a bit more generous than that, but sea moss is very strong. Assuming you know what sea moss is and how it tastes, this seems like a good quality product. The ginger and elderberry flavor is very nice.

Well, it has a safety seal
The big faux pau 2024 sea moss gel has been.... lack of a safety seal. Most of those containers arrive as a gloopy mess. But not this one! Someone was thinking. The service size is 12oz, which is a little on the small side. Flavor of ginger elderberry. Well? I can see that there were trying to harmonize flavors with the sea moss gel, but personally, it's not a winning combo. Both ginger and elderberry in themselves are tart. Usually you need something sweeter to make sea moss gel sing. So good on safety seal and ingredients/nutrition, but the flavor may be hit and miss out there.

Has a nice flavor
We all know sea moss isn't the most flavor packed dish but I like what they did here. The flavor is nice if added to a sprite or ginger ale. Sometimes I just take 2 spoon fulls by itself. I feel healthier already 💪🏾

Not bad Not great
I enjoy sea moss and the benefits to be gained from adding it to my daily routine. This was your typical sea moss I felt that the texture was a bit different but not horrible the flavor was ok. I am taking it for the benefits not so much its taste however, it is nice when something taste good makes it easier to swallow on a daily basis. I personally did not notice any smell to it but I do suffer from allergies so my sniffer does not work the best. I finished the jar and had no ill effects.

Consistency is Interesting
The flavor of the ginger elderberry is interesting. I did find that the ginger flavor overwhelmed the elderberry. The consistency is much different to what I'm accustomed to with different brands of sea moss gel; it's very smooth and silky, like gelatinized pudding? The other brands that I've tried have grittiness from the sea moss that's similar to applesauce.
