I recently installed the SwitchBot Lock Pro, and it has completely changed how I manage access to my home. The setup was straightforward, and the app makes it incredibly easy to control the lock remotely. I love that I can grant temporary access to guests or family members without needing to hand over a physical key. The lock itself feels sturdy and well-built. The auto-lock and auto-unlock features work reliably, and the integration with my smart home system makes everyday routines smoother. I also appreciate the alerts if someone tries to tamper with the lock—it gives extra peace of mind. Battery life seems strong so far, and replacing them is hassle-free. The only minor drawback is that some features require the SwitchBot hub for full functionality, but if you already have one, it’s a seamless experience. I’ve been using the SwitchBot Lock Pro along with the Hub 2, fingerprint reader, and voice control features for a while now. Overall, it’s a solid improvement over the previous generation. The response time is faster, and the app connectivity is much more stable. Voice commands through Alexa work very well — smooth and reliable. Fingerprint unlocking, on the other hand, is hit or miss. Sometimes it just doesn’t register, possibly due to poor contact or sensitivity issues, which can be frustrating when you’re in a hurry. One of the main issues I’ve noticed is that occasionally the lock either fails to lock or unlock. It seems like the motor might not have enough torque in certain situations, especially when there’s slight misalignment with the deadbolt. This can be inconvenient and slightly worrying when you’re not sure if your door is properly secured.

The lock was easy to fit with clear instructions. This is a big improvement compared to the previous version of the lock. It works every time and doesn’t jam every other use which the previous version did for me. One of the things i don’t like is that it is a bit bigger than the previous one and protrudes from the door a bit more but, it is sturdy and attached well so this shouldn’t be a problem hopefully. I also wish it unlocked faster although it’s not slow(the new nuki pro unlocks Very fast). It works with my existing keypad, nfc and card so need to change those which is a bonus.

Rubbish customer support getting really annoyed now . They forced an update on my device to stop at jamming so much , which had been annoying me along time . The update has stopped it working in Apple home which is even more frustrating . Seems like I’m talking to a bot and the problem will never be resolved. Very disappointing

The battery life is impressive, and the backup keys are a nice touch. If you want a reliable, feature-packed smart lock without breaking the bank, this is the one.

I’ve had 2 of these locks now - both have issues. The first lock worked ok for approximately 2 months and I was happy, but then it started requesting recalibration, which became more and more frequent (every day 2 or 3 times it would fail) - I kept logging the issue with SwitchBot, who eventually replaced the lock. The replacement lock is unfortunately worse - within a few days it started losing its calibration. Now it loses its calibration every day at least once. It’s a shame I can’t trust the device, as I really like it. I have a number of other SwitchBot devices (curtain bots, door sensors, temp gauages etc) and all of these are excellent - it’s just this door lock which isn’t great. I wouldn’t recommend this device until the technology is a bit better.

I was always on the fence about smart locks, but the SwitchBot Lock Pro won me over completely. Installation was a breeze - I did it myself in under 30 minutes with no special tools needed. Now, unlocking my door is a breeze - the app is fantastic and super responsive. Plus, the twist dial for manual locking is smooth and easy to use. It looks great on my door and feels very sturdy and well built. The automation options are endless. I love that I can set my lights to turn on when I unlock the door at night, and it integrates perfectly with my voice assistant so I can lock up with a simple command. Overall, the SwitchBot Lock Pro is a fantastic option for anyone looking for a user-friendly and feature-packed smart lock. Highly recommend!

I haven't really found a use for this smart lock if you don't have a hub to go with it. The remote features which is where my interest came in to this lick only work with the hub. It's fairly easy to fit with basic DIY skills. The quality is ok but I think its to expensive for what it is when you factor in you have to spend more to get It's full potential.

One of the best smart locks in the market. Very easy to install and has many options for different style locks. Works locally on a Matter network using the hub, so using the lock is quick, reliable and privacy focused. On AA's the battery life is decent, changing them once a quarter, there is a battery upgrade available from switchbot that is an excellent option. It is a bigger lock from the inside, but from the outside you keep your normal locking cylinder. So it looks like you have a standard lock. Overall great lock, reliable, and at a great price.

Works very well and in combination with smart key pad touch provides you a high range of possibilities to lock and unlock. Furthermore the App is very stable and provides you useful information wherever you are.

This is their new smart lock, and overall, it’s pretty solid. They claim it's compatible with all locks, but for mine, it wasn’t 100% compatible. I had to use my own screws, so I wouldn’t say it works for every lock out there. It really depends on your specific lock and screws, but if you’re handy, you can probably make it work. Unlike the previous model that used 3M adhesive strips, this one uses screws, which makes it more robust and reliable. It’s not going to fall off like the 3M version sometimes did. The lock itself works fine, although I’ve noticed it occasionally jams, especially after the recent software update in September 2024. The batteries are holding up well, and despite the installation being a bit tricky, I managed to get it up and running. I use it daily now. Software Perspective: The software is decent, though it could definitely be improved. There are a few bugs here and there, but overall, it gets the job done. I do appreciate that they release updates from time to time, and I’m happy with that. However, I’d love to see more features added, like auto-unlocking when your phone is nearby, so it detects your presence and unlocks the door automatically. Additionally, to connect the lock to Wi-Fi and use it with Alexa, you need the SwitchBot Hub Mini, which I already have (an older version, but it works just fine). With that setup, I’m able to control the lock using Alexa, which adds a lot of convenience. Price and Value: From a price perspective, it’s definitely cheaper than its competitors, which was the main reason I bought it. They’ve also improved the quality compared to older versions, which is a nice touch. Overall, I’m very happy with it and would rate it a solid 5 out of 5.

Dopo tanta attesa il nuovo SwitchBot Lock Pro è finalmente uscito, e non potevo non acquistarlo visto i miglioramenti in termini estetici e funzionali rispetto alla prima versione, molto acerba in confronto ai vari competitor. Acquistato in coppia con SwitchBot KeyPad Touch e dopo diversi giorni di utilizzo posso finalmente tirare le somme, ed in una sola parola.. FANTASTICI! Partiamo dalla confezione: come sempre minimale, con tutto il necessario, e con un nuovo look che lo rende decisamente perfetto anche per un regalo. Anche le istruzioni, come sempre, chiare, facili ed intuitive. Passiamo al prodotto: SwitchBot Smart Lock è una serratura Smart (ovviamente) che ti permette di gestire nei modi più svariati l'apertura e la chiusura delle porte di casa, sia blindate che interne. Il montaggio è semplicissimo: la base dello smart lock si fissa mediante adesivo 3M (fornito) alla serratura esistente, si inserisce la chiave della serratura, e vi si aggancia sopra lo smart lock e... Fatto! Ora siete pronti ad aprire e chiudere le porte di casa con un semplice comando vocale o con lo smartphone. La serratura infatti è comandabile dall'applicazione, ma è anche integrabile con Alexa e Google Assistant, così da renderne ancora più comoda e semplice l'attivazione. Attenzione: la Smart Lock non si adatta a TUTTE le serrature, ma solo ad alcune tipologie. In compenso, nel kit in dotazione si trovano due staffe di montaggio differenti (in base allo spessore del cilindro) e otto adattatori per nottolini. Vi consiglio di verificare la compatibilità prima di procedere all'acquisto, anche direttamente dal sito SwitchBot. Ad integrazione c'è la possibilità di acquistare il Keypad Touch (CONSIGLIATISSIMO!), un tastierino che va posto al di fuori della porta su cui avete installato Smart Lock, e che permette lo sblocco della porta in vari modi, per esempio con impronta digitale, codice di sicurezza (anche temporaneo per ospiti ad esempio), o ancora con una card magnetica (stile hotel, già presente in confezione). Fino ad ora ho testato l'impronta digitale ed il codice e non ho mai avuto nessun problema, sicuramente seguiranno aggiornamenti. Come altri prodotti SwitchBot, per rendere totalmente Smart il prodotto, e quindi avere la possibilità di utilizzarlo attraverso scenari, comandi vocali gli assistenti vocali etc, è necessario acquistare SwitchBot Hub, che gli amanti di questi prodotti sicuramente avranno! :) Per il resto direi che è un ottimo prodotto, semplice e intuitivo, sia nell'utilizzo che nel montaggio, e molto bello esteticamente (anche se un po' grande), per non parlare del rapporto qualità/prezzo: IMBATTIBILE! Straconsigliato!
