Is it a requirement to usr pudding or cake mix to make this whip cream, or can you just simply make the whip cream

The Dream Whip powder is primarily for making a whipped cream topping. It can be used with pudding and cake mixes to make a very moist, light cake (instructions on box).

Directions are on the box. Mix 1 envelope with 1/2 cup of cold water and 1/2 tsp of vanilla. Beat until blended on low, then beat for 4 minutes on high

What is the expiry date when you get the box? (eg: one year forward? or less or more) because I don't use it very frequently

The date on my purchase was 1 1/2 yrs out... I made the purchase around mid-2013. The exp. date on mine is Jan. 2015
