I have been using this shallow enamelled cast iron casserole for a while now and I am very happy with its overall quality and performance. The first thing to note is that this is proper cast iron. The pot is genuinely heavy, which might surprise some people, but that weight translates directly into stability, heat retention and even cooking. Once heated, it distributes heat extremely evenly across the entire surface, with no hot spots. This makes it ideal for slow cooking, braising, shallow stews, pan frying and finishing dishes in the oven. The enamel coating is smooth and well applied. Food releases easily when used correctly, and cleaning is remarkably simple for cast iron. Most of the time, warm water and a soft sponge are sufficient. Nothing has stained or stuck permanently so far. I have used it both on the hob and in the oven, and it performs reliably in both settings. The lid fits well, helping to retain moisture and heat, which is especially useful for casseroles and slow cooked dishes. Design wise, the pot looks very nice and solid, and the green enamel finish is attractive without being overly flashy. It feels sturdy and durable, and the handles are well sized for a secure grip, although due to the weight, lifting with two hands is definitely recommended. It compares very well with much more expensive brands while doing exactly what good cast iron cookware should do. I would confidently recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, versatile and affordable cast iron casserole.

I have Prime. Ordered Saturday, arrived Sunday, delivered by Amazon. Faultless. Initial impressions were very good. I chose the dark blue 32 cm shallow casserole, and the blue enamelling is quite striking. Having eventually removed the casserole from the packaging - it is very well protected - I gave it a quick wash using a nylon scrubby then immediately set about putting my new cookware to work to make a Lancashire hotpot. I have owned Le Creuset ironware for well over forty years - from the time before it became so ridiculously over priced - and my new casserole more than holds its own when compared alongside in looks. The enamelling seems to be of an equivalent standard, the thickness and weight of the ironware seems to be entirely comparable. Considering the price differential between the two brands, these impressions lead to a very considerable weighting in favour of the Nuovva product. Very impressed. I was slightly surprised to read that the casserole did not need seasoning, but I took the manufacturer at their word. I can now confirm that seasoning is not necessary. Very impressed. Using the casserole on my induction hob, I browned the meat and vegetables in a little dripping, then combined all the ingredients, put the sliced potatoes on the top and transferred the whole thing directly to the top oven. A few hours later, I sat down to a very evenly cooked meal. The casserole kept the food warm long enough for me to return for a second helping of cholesterol laden comfort food. Very impressed. Washing up was very easy, again using a nylon scrubby, the casserole came up clean with very little effort. Very impressed. Two things of which a potential buyer should be aware: 1. Size: This casserole has a large footprint, and the excellently designed handles make it quite a big piece of kitchen-ware. You will need a standard 60cm outside width oven to use this, anything smaller simply will not accommodate. 2. Weight: This is a large piece of cast iron, and as such is fairly hefty in nature. For those people who have not used cast iron cookware before, this will mean that the weight may come as a bit of a surprise. I by no means share the physique of Arnold Schwarzenegger, but I managed to lift it, whilst containing around five or six pounds of food very easily, thanks to the well designed handles. In summary, this casserole is a large, heavy, piece of cast iron cookware, giving every impression of having been manufactured to a very high standard. The enamelling is beautifully executed and the design is very attractive. Food cooks evenly inside of it, and the washing up process is simple. Obviously, I have not been able to test longevity, but all the indications are that this item will continue to be used by whomever buys it from the house clearance sale long after I have croaked. Worth every penny. 100% recommendation.

Great shallow casserole dish, just what I’ve been looking for, cooks evenly, no sticking providing you stir on a regular basis, however washes easily, love the colour choices. It is heavy but it’s cast iron so to be expected. It is quite large so need to consider storage, but it’s just what I was looking for and met my expectations.

I would just like to say I purchased this item I cooked with it this weekend and I was over the moon. Yes it’s a little bit heavy but cast iron is I did a chicken pot roast everything I put in a vegetables it came out superb left the lid on it placed it on the table kept it warm and nice family sat round and enjoyed the meal one pop one meal versatility of being able to use it on top of your hobs to in your oven and also being able to serve it straight to the Table can’t beat it a great boy these other pots of pants keep chuck them in the bed. This one pot will replace of loads of them. I think it’s about time you looked at what you got in your cupboards and look at what it’s costing you to replace them. This one pot will last you a damn site locker soaked everything wiped off once ready to go again

Yeah it's a bitheavy but it's cast iron. Great value for money if you look at the price of Le Cruset equivalent. True one pot cooking, really good brown off the meat then into the oven or leave on the hob, so easy to use and great heat dissipation. Just leave to soak and quick clean with soapy water. Just wish I'd got one sooner.

I am very happy with the big size of this one, I have more space for cooking. It's always very easy to clean and use on daily basis. Whether for stews, shallow frying or baking in the oven, it's got so many uses that makes it a great value for money! I know of the great quality Nuovva cast iron possess. I also own a 2 year old small Nuovva Casserole which is still good so I never have any doubts on its performance and durability. And my experience with seller is very positive. Had a minor issue with the lid and it was resolved immediately. Thank you for your excellent service and products.

​I have been thoroughly impressed with this since the moment it arrived. Having used it several times, I can confidently say it offers excellent value, love the colour. Should have gone for a smaller size as my kitchen is tiny.

Ich liebe diese Pfanne! Ich bin von beschichteter Pfanne umgestiegen auf diese emaillierte Gusseisenpfanne (sowie eine Edelstahlpfanne und eine gusseiserne) und ich bereue nichts. Grund für den Umstieg war eine verzkratzte beschichtete Pfanne, das Material hing in Fäden und konnte so ins Essen eindringen. Säurehaltige Gerichte werden in der Pfanne / Schmortopf zubereitet und reichen für 4 Portionen. Vom Gewicht her natürlich etwas unhandlich aber man kommt zurecht und Gewichttraining soll man ja sowieso machen ;) Aufpassen sollte man wirklich mit dem unbeschichteten Rand, auch den Deckel nicht umgekehrt nach dem Kochen liegen lassen, es kann zu Korrosion kommen! Liegt einfach in der Natur des Materials. Preislich top, dafür brauche ich keine Markentöpfe anschaffen wenn dieser hier die gleichen Anforderungen erfüllt. Die Farbe ist auch wunderschön und ein echter Hingucker

The enamel inside the pan is chipped and cracked thus unsuitable for cooking. Plus extérieure of the pan the enamel is completely broken and chipped this will cause rust.

Für zwei/drei Personen mit einem Durchmesser von 26 cm perfekt. Ich mag diese Ausführung gerne und freu mich schon auf das erste Gericht. Lieferung schnell und gut verpackt.
