GoPro Media Mod (HERO11 Black/HERO10 Black/HERO9 Black) - Official GoPro Accessory - E-Commerce Packaging

The media could not be loaded. This GoPro "Media Mod" is the one to buy. It is nearly half the price of the non ecommerce package, and the only difference is the lack of a wind filter ( which you could make yourself for a few dollars ). The construction is sturdy, the audio capture is good, it is very easy to use, and the button / plug fitment is perfect. It adds an external charging port and an external audio jack. It has 2 mounts for lights, microphones, etc. It also fits with a Max Lens Mod, which I thought was very useful. The moment I plugged it into my GoPro, my GoPro Hero 9 recognized that the "Media Mod" was attached and adjusted accordingly. It also added a mic monitoring bar, which I thought was convenient.

I recently added the GoPro Media Mod to my HERO 10 Black, and it's been a fantastic upgrade. I primarily use it to connect a lav mic for clear audio while the camera is mounted on my motorcycle helmet. The Media Mod delivers excellent sound quality and enhances the overall functionality of the camera. It’s worth noting that this version does not include the removable windscreen. The added microphone and accessory mounts have been very useful. If you're looking to improve your GoPro setup, especially for motorcycle or action filming, the Media Mod is a great investment.

I like the case, it is useful if you want to add coldshoe's to your gopro. I've not used it as much as I thought I would. It's been a hot summer and it seems to cause the gopro to over heat faster. Also you have to remove it to get to the memory card.

Nearly half the cost of the non e-commerce model, this is the one you should buy. Be aware, it does not come with a wind muff for the microphone. But, most people buy this are buying it to use wireless mics with. If a wireless mic ability is your use case, then this is for you. If you are interested in the mic on the mod, it's no better than the original. This is strictly to give you more ability with your camera (microphones, wireless microphones, light systems, etc.)

This media mod seemed to work at first for viewing videos on my tv then the videos started to be out of sync I inspected my camera and it seemed to be taking videos fine then i tried videoing with the mod on the camera for a day of fishing it started to take video then went out of video mode tried turning it back on and it went out of video mode 4 more times and finally on the fifth time it started to work then 10 minutes later shut down again this happened all day and when reviewing the clips at the end of the day only 4 out of 12 videos were viewable . So because its past the return date by 2 weeks I guess im stuck with a 50$ piece of crap that doesn't work right .

works amazing. easy to use. the size it great. it doesn't seem to have much impact on battery life

Works great but with a screen protector on the GoPro then is pushes it, but that is stated. Works great. Doesnt have the wind sock but don't need that. Happy with the purchase at a great price.

Have had the mod on my gp10 for a few months now and haven't taken it off. I can charge, and pull all my vids, all without having to dismount anything . The usb on the side of my helmet gets plugged in when I'm at home, gets downloaded and charges at the same time. The audio is pretty neat you can have it in the front if you want to pick up on convo's or something in front, but not so good if your going down the road. You can have it on the rear and reduces a lot of wind, picks up the sounds of you or exhaust, as well as surrounding or you can have a line-in, which I use the majority of.
