Extra Soft Density is great for sensitive areas
I've come across different massage balls from different brands. Notably Trigger Point Therapy's massage balls and foam rollers. For around this price point (though I believe TPT products are priced higher than RAD) - I think RAD is much better in terms of quality and durability. I haven't tried RAD's foam rollers / roller type items, but I purchased these extra soft density balls and their set of 3 (med green soft ball, firm blue ball, small black extra firm ball) and I think these are excellent massage balls. Firm but due to the medical grade material they use to construct the balls, it feels better when you apply pressure and they're very easy to clean with just some warm soap and water.Another great feature that isn't advertised as much is, RAD actually has iOS companion app for their products that is free. You can check out the app before purchasing to see what sequences you want to work on - it gives you an idea of which products may be a better fit for for you. I think it's a wonderful resource and the App has a simple interface that is NOT buggy like most of the companion apps you find with these kinds of products. Overall, it's quite clear that this company knows what they're doing and is focused on providing their customers with a realistic solution to SMR through their products and online / app resources.I have existing foam rollers and massage balls (deep tissue and regular) from TPT, and I wish I didn't because I would just buy the entire RAD line if I could. But I didn't know about RAD back when I bought those other items. If you want to buy TPT items, try to check out your local HomeGoods/Marshalls and TJMaxx as they sometimes get those in stock and it will be a better price than buying TPT directly. Additionally, Amazon sells a brand "SpoiledHippo Massage Balls" that makes a 3-set pack of massage balls that are various sizes that feel almost identical to the TPT's original foam massage ball (this is not the same as their deep tissue one which is more firm).Overall, if you are new to self-bodywork my best suggestion would be to definitely check out the RAD App and other online resources to get an idea of which items you'll actually use before finalizing your decision. It's easy to end up with a whole bunch of these self-massage tools in the house and not actually use them.

They work great, harder than a tennis ball too
Excellent quality massage balls. You can put one in a sock and use it against a wall to gently work the back muscles. They are helpful for Myofascial Pain Syndrome. These massage balls are recommended in the Trigger Point Therapy Workbook. I bought other sizes from this brand too. It's helpful to know that the hardness of the ball coincides with the size; this larger size is the least firm, yet more so than a tennis ball. I've noticed after a month or so of massage, that the muscles adapt and you can use a harder ball on them, but it takes longer to cover large areas.

Perfect size & density
I had to buy these as a requirement for an MFR course. But after trying various brands, textures & sizes, I found these to be the most effective. The size works great with big muscles & smaller ones. Doable for feet but a smaller size would be more ideal. The density is perfect to increase intensity when needed.I invested in these & the smaller ones for my yoga studio & Iām very happy with their performance.

Ad says "extra soft" but imo this is very firm with a little bit of give.
This is a very nice ball but imo it is not "extra soft". It is very firm with a little bit of give, however I did not intend to use it as a massage tool.

The right stuff
These are very good to use. The method of myofascial release works very well, and these two balls are great for travel, for home, for my yoga classes. Better than tennis balls, in my opinion.
