Given my old Toyota struggles to start even at 0 degrees, last night it was -7 so I did my usual attempts to start it and it huffed and puffed and spluttered and slowly the power began to drain from the battery...so if ever there was a time to try out my new Povasee, this was it. Got it from the boot (I had already charged it fully, although it came part charged) flipped the bonnet, attached the clips switched the unit on...lights flashed as they should. Hopped back in turned the key...and very little more power. So, apart from being disappointed and confused (I'd read loads of great reviews on this unit) I was now freezing and no way was it going to start this engine which was like a 2.2 litre block of ice...and a diesel to add further problems to a cold start.So, stomped back inside, had a cup of tea, checked instructions again - seemed as if I'd done it correctly. Waited until day light came and then thought I'd give it one more chance...back I went, flipped the bonnet, attached the clips on the negative and positive, but this time spent a little longer making sure they had a good contact. Back in the car, turned the key and ...bloody hell, it was like I was channelling lightening through the key, I've never heard my ignition and starter turn the engine like that, bingo, engine kicked into life !!! Moral of the story, this works and it works well, but don't be a plonker like me, make sure the clips get a really good contact on the battery terminals. It's going to be -10 tonight, but having experienced that power, I feel confident it wills tart it tomorrow. Really impressed and bought it in the sale so a good price. ALready saved me calling out the AA and taking a hit on my next quote. Brrrr.

So very impressed with this power pack! Had a completely dead battery on a renault kadjar. Tried to jump start using next doors jumper cables and it wouldn't work. Mechanic friend said to try jumping for around 30mins to charge the battery...also didn't work. Bought this thing, charged it up and used the RST button which claims to bring dead batteries back to life - worked first time!!It took us over a week to be able to sort the car battery out properly, meanwhile still had to run the kid to nursery and do errands etc. Used this every time I needed to start the car, probably around 15 times over the course of a week. The only time it didn't work was right at the end of that week, when we'd finally used the battery to literal death and it had nothing left to give.The power pack side is also good, used to charge my Samsung S20 and it said the phone was in super quick charging mode, so it charged very fast.Even though I have a new car battery and some separate jumper cables now I still feel happier with this in the car

I’ve had to use it twice in an emergency and it worked perfectly both times, starting the car within seconds. It’s compact, easy to use, and the display/torch are handy extras. I just keep it charged in the boot now — a really reliable backup for any 12V vehicle.

I've just taken delivery of this Povasee Car Jump Starter, and I'm pleased with what I see. It seems to be well made, and comes with a sturdy hard case. It also comes with a USB to USBC cable. The input port is USBC and the two output ports are both USB. All the bits fit neatly into the case, which is approx. 19x11x11 cms.It came with a small charge, and when attached to my computer it charged fully in about 3 hours. The documentation recommends that it should be topped up every 3 - 6 months. There are 5 little LEDs to tell you the state of charge.I haven't needed to use it to start my car, and hope I never do, but it's good to have it in the boot just in case. It might also prove useful to use as a power bank to charge phone etc. If I do need it, it should have plenty power for my 3.0L diesel.My only concern is that the jump start leads are quite short. They are fine if you are clamping on to the positive and negative terminals of the battery. However, I'm told that with some modern cars, particularly those with stop/start mode, you can't use the negative terminal and have to earth elsewhere. I suppose that might be a problem if there isn't something else under the bonnet close by.

As I do not have the facility to use a trickle charger this will hopefully work well when needed. I have not had the need to use it yet so at the moment I will assume it will work well. It is reassuring to have it standing by as I am a low mileage car user. I recently had to call out the AA to jump start my car. Hence, a reason for my purchase.It is light weight and compact. Very handy to have everything needed stored away in the case provided. Simple to use instructions.I have now used this product and was amazed how my car sprang into life! It was easy to use. I would recommend this product.

Als unsere alte Autobatterie anfing, schwach zu werden und das Auto oft nicht ansprang, war dieses Gerät eine riesige Hilfe. Wir haben das Auto damit viele Male problemlos gestartet.Was mich am meisten beeindruckt hat: Eine einzige volle Akkuladung dieses Jump Starters reichte für mehrere Startvorgänge hintereinander aus. Ich weiß die genaue Zahl nicht mehr, aber wir haben das Auto schätzungsweise 5 bis 7 Mal gestartet, ohne die Powerbank dazwischen aufladen zu müssen.Mir hat alles sehr gut gefallen. Das Gerät macht genau das, was es soll, und ist auch für absolute Laien super einfach zu bedienen. Klare Kaufempfehlung von mir! 5 Sterne.
