Best fix for leaking factory Jeep oil filter housing! Read my review!
I have a 2021 Jeep Gladiator with just over 104,000 miles and the Factory Oil Filter housing / cooler was leaking as most all will. This NEW Dorman 926-959 aluminum Oil Filter housing / cooler worked flawlessly! If you’re not mechanically inclined, do not perform the work yourself! It was a time consuming process but best value for the money! It cost more than others but the quality from Dorman is better than the OEM. Come with all needed gaskets. You will need to reuse or install new sensor as well as you’ll need to drain and refill your cooling system. Make sure to torque all bolts per Dorman and your ride will be leak free just like mine! (Note) Cheap no name oil filter cone with kit, so I installed a NEW Mobile 1 oil filter. Best to change oil at this time as well! Due to mileage I also replaced ALL spark plugs and Ignition Coils as well. Trust me, you might as well as you’ll see why when you have to remove the upper and lower intake manifolds anyway.

Good quality
Jeep Cherokee with 3.2 engine. Oil cooler/ filter housing from the factory often start leaking somewhere around 70,000 miles, our started at 60K. I was told by a mechanic that the Dorman oil cooler is the only way to go since it is all aluminum. Other less expensive units have plastic or composite parts that fail just like the factory ones fail. This was installed by a different mechanic who was pleased that it included the needed gaskets and bolted in with no issues. We have less than 100 miles with this new part and it seems to be working with no issue.

Great replacement....so far so good!
Used as a replacement on a 2013 Grand Caravan V6. I really like the overall value on this unit. It feels so much better than the OEM plastic unit that it replaced. In fact, the OE plastic part easily broke after I removed it. Replacing this part isn't easy; take your time and don't rush. Find a couple of how-to videos and don't over torque the manifold plenum bolts. Finger tight is good enough. The front brackets of the top manifold don't actually need to be removed. Just remove the nuts and then the manifold lifts up and slides back towards the firewall. Once the upper and lower manifold are removed cover the intake openings with masking tape. The universal sensor on the OE unit will probably be stuck. Mine wouldn't come out so I had to spend an extra $40 to replace that. Still cheaper than the OEM unit. I used the Fel-Pro gaskets just to make sure I was getting the best. And I replaced the spark plugs as they are exposed during this process. Final result....no more oil leak. What more could I ask for.

So far so good
The media could not be loaded. Honestly, worst thing I replaced on my vehicle. You can definitely do it yourself, but it is probably going to take a good bit of time. It was probably just my car, but I spent so much time trying to take off the coolant clamp and I genuinely almost gave in, but eventually got it on. Taking everything apart and out of the way is super easy, but once you get into that confined space where it sets, not a fun time at all. I expected 1-3 hours of work, turned to almost 6 just because of a clamp. I didn’t have any other problems and it was a decently easy install after I got the hose detached and reattached. Just so you’re not wasting oil, I’d recommend trying to do this upgrade while you’re doing an oil change just so you don’t have to top off dirty oil already. I went the full coolant Drain route also just to make things easier for myself and went ahead and changed the coolant afterwards also. Overall, It is a bit challenging for a person who does not use any special tools. It is currently day 1 of use and no sight of leakage as I also used torque specs for it.Update: overall a success. I have full belief that this oil filter housing and cooler is a success. I have went a good bit of time with this without a scent of antifreeze nor oil. My oil pressure is normal and acting as it should. I am not noticing any leaks nor has my engine exploded. Overall I would say this is a great install excluding a clamp I had to deal with while installing.

Legendary fix to a all too common problem!
Dorman had bad reputation, but they have stepped it up lately. This is a common problem with Pentastar 3.6 V-6 engines. The original oil filter housing is plastic. It tends to break or warp and leak oil and coolant. This kit is aluminum, and fixes this problem. It is kind of pricey, but compared to a replacement engine, well that goes without saying. It's about a 5 hour operation, done right. This is a permanent fix to this leaking problem. For this reason, I am pre-emptively replacing this piece on my wife's Jeep. It comes with an orange filter housing cap, signifying this job has been done. Although it is easy to see the aluminum housing. You'll also have to use a different oil filter than the OE one. But there is a list of filter numbers on the side of the cap. It comes with all the gaskets that are needed to do the job. Some engines use two sensors on the back of the housing, some use one. For this reason a plug comes with the housing. All new bolts too.

Quite a few quality issues
Rough surfaces in some spots where it probably should be smoother. But my main concern is the little bits of thin metal on the edges that could break away and ruin the engine.Overall it seems like a decent part. I'll take some steps to clean it up a bit wherever I see metal bits that could break off and float away. I may fine sand a small layer on the few rough surfaces after blocking the holes from ingesting dust. Not gonna spend more than 20 minutes on this

Nice upgrade fits 2013 Wrangler
Nice quality product, comes with all the seals and bolts you need for installation, be sure to remember it takes a 2014 oil filter for a 3.6L Pentastar engine. Perhaps an installation tip if you're weary about this leaking ever again, apply some high heat engine silicone to the seals as well, the o ring up front is known to be the leaky culprit.

So far so good.
Installed a few months ago and still no problem. Throw away the plastic OEM junk and replace it with Dorman alloy parts. That's the way to go.

Awesome upgrade! Not for first time DIY
Replaced my 2012 Jeep Wrangler oil cooler with this. Nicely built product. You can fix this yourself but need mechanical knowledge and tools. Be sure to have high temp sealant as you need to swap the temp sensor/s over from the factory unit to this one. You also need to assemble this unit a bit . Have a torques wrench with you if you care about following their specs in the instructions that are included. The instructions are pretty easy to read and are a few major languages. A simple YouTube search will get you many how to videos for swapping this part out yourself.
