Why did you pick this product vs others?:I wanted a small welder to run off the back of an electric vehicle when out camping to do emergency repairs at festivals. This works great. I first bought one of the hand held flux core welders with the little feeder wire ends but it failed as the wire regularly gets caught and wont feed.. this makes it hard to control the speed of the weld the way you can with this stick style welder. Overall this has been a great little welder to have in the back of the truck and the repairs have already paid for itself.

I was surprised. I've only used it once but it did the job. Very easy and convenient to use. Well worth the cost. Much more handy than pulling out the big welder for a small quick job.

Amazing! For a 20% duty cycle not production type welder. Great DIY home shop etc. I was a metal worker for 20 years. Also, hadn't touched a welder in 30 years. Set it up in a few minutes to weld vertically on a broken car driver's seat frame. Setting 3 due to thinner tubing. Worked perfectly! If you'd of asked me would a 110 volt welder be any good I'd of laughed at you! Rods that came with it are fine. Should be noted that this has been a single use so far. May update later.

I bought this for my husband because the old welder it took a lot of effort to get it out get everything together this is awesome so easy now I can all my yard art repaired lol plus he can easy use it for his needs

Nice for doing repairs around the house, light duty stuff. Probably not going to weld a crane arm or a backhoe bucket. But it works for patio furniture and other thin tube type objects. Got some Hobart rods and it laid a nice bead, good heat and penetration. Like the fact that it is very portable, throw it in the UTV with a small generator and fixing fences around the property is pretty fast work. I could see where this could come in handy for off roading emergency repairs. Works for me, your results may vary.

Let me start out by saying I'm not a welder. I have a small mig welder and I have "successfully" welded a few things around the house but it wasn't pretty by any stretch.I got this little welder because of the previous reviews. Everyone said it worked great and was easy to use. They are correct. This little tool is very easy to use. Much easier for us newbies that have no idea what we're doing. I've welded a few different things for small projects I've done and it came out MUCH better with this tool than my mig welder. Still not a beautiful seam but much nicer, much cleaner and requiring for less grinding and clean-up. I recommend for anyone that doesn't use a welder regularly. You really can't go wrong at this price point.

Don’t buy it it’s defected. I receive it did not work. I have contact the customer service and really I didn’t get help from the seller and I explained to them that the machine it’s not working. They give option to Amazon page return or replacement I told them Amazon offering only return not replacement. Can you send me a replacement? They said no if you want go purchase another one and we will give you a refund so I don’t like this solution I decide to return it back to Amazon and I’m still waiting for my money to get back to my account. It’s been two weeks and it stole my money. It’s not refunded it yet.

Which I’m not, so hard to weld a straight line.Goggles could have been made better. I glued the lens in place which made it better but you still need to hold them on leaving one hand to hold the tool and none to hold what you are welding

My husband has used all types of welders throughout his working career and now that he is retired and has always wanted a small unit for around the home fixes. He really likes this unit and says it is worth it's weight in gold for those small jobs that every home owner has. So far it has not disappointed him and he is very equipment fussy.

I have a 5 star but would have to say 4 star cuz I didn’t use it long enough, I only tested it to see if it actually worked on heavy thick metal.Yes it does work! This is the 5 star cuz it worked.I had a 110v stick welder and a flux self feeder. And those both don’t compare to this hand held unit.I only tested it to see if it would actually hold a bead or make a bead on the metal in pictures. I use cheap 1/32 rod. I used an extension cord 12 or 14 gauge. Idk don’t know which it was I didn’t look and too lazy to look now lol.I’m not a welder and I’m more likely to burn myself or go blind using this. But I can’t stress enough it does work - I’m sure you would need to use in moderation and give it time to work and cool down - I’m never in a hurry to weld and if I was - I would buy the proper setup. Just can’t believe it works 🤷‍♂️😊
