Shoegaze in a box!
A seriously awesome pedal! A treasure chest of Chorus, Modulations, Delays, Reverbs and plenty more! Combine it with the MG50+ in front of the pedal chain and you'll have most effects covered. Because this one lacks drives and pre amps. Work great in 'Patch mode' for building tones for entire songs, or you can use it as a switchable stomp box functioning as a multitude of individual effects. Because that is the only issue I have with multi FX units in general, switching out individual FX mid song is a pain with 'patches'. The only other pedal you'd probably need is an expression or Wah pedal.

Incredible!
Incredible value. This thing does everything and is incredibly versatile. It sounds incredible and allows you to stack preamps, compressors, EQ, distortion, chorus, delay, reverb, amps and speakers and room ambience to create complete, ready-to-go bass tones for recording or live. For the money, this unit really is peerless, even when compared to the expensive, analogue equipment it emulates. Downsides are the limits of the small display screen and the difficulty of making complex changes during a gig, both of which are fine when compared against the price, flexibility and small size. Worth spending an afternoon with the manual building some of your own presets whilst learning to use it properly as the factory presets are a little extreme for everyday use.

Not a bad stomp box at all.
This product is quite underrated, says mostly for beginners, Well I am far from a beginner ok not all the sounds are great, but the bulk of patches sound pretty good for most conditions, well done Zoom, you could be on to a winner with this product. Only thing I dont like is it cannot be switched off without removing the power, and no simple bypass but overall its good.

Sound quality is very good
Would like a few more common combinations were not all shoegaze.

Great sounds, but too much noise for my setup
Really wanted to love this — the effects are genuinely great, especially for the price. But in my home studio setup (running through a mixer with proper power and cables), I kept getting a noticeable hiss and interference. Tried a few different configurations but couldn’t get it quiet enough to be usable. Shame, because it’s otherwise a brilliant little box. Probably fine in a different setup, but just didn’t work out for me.

Great quality and value, despite a couple of frustrations
As an owner of the previous CDR70, the key improvement here is the digital conversion - the old model had 'tone suck', and (for me) a background hum, but I don't discern any here, which allows me to use the unit with my 'serious' guitar fx. The new buttons are nice too. Having four knobs rather than three is a bit fiddly, but I'd rather have the extra parameter accessible than not. I love the zoom interface that lets you chain multiple fx and have easy hands-on control of the parameters. In terms of fx quality, it may have improved a bit, but I'm not sure. The quality level is still a touch below premium, but very useable. There are a few fx that are hard to find elsewhere for the price. I'm a particular fan of the Particle Verb and Ice Delay. There are several nice choruses. I use the CDR partly to compensate for the block limitations of my GT1000 core. E.g. the GT doesn't really allow more than one simultaneous reverb. The fact that the zoom and GT are both very low latency makes them a good combination. A plus point of the old multistomp series was that, after a time, it became possible to combine fx from different multistomps within one pedal - e.g. amp sims from the MS50G in the CDR70. I'm aware that some are finding ways to do this with the new editions, but at the time of writing I'm not aware of a straightforward way that doesn't involve more programming knowledge than I possess. Hopefully that will change, as this edition is less useful than the old one in this respect atm. Clearly Zoom want to encourage people to buy more than one multistomp, but it is unfortunate that this puts the new models at a disadvantage. This especially applies to the new MS50, which uses IR only for the preamp stage and lacks cab sim, forcing users to buy the IR pedal (or that of a 3rd party) to have a self-contained amp sim setup - terrible decision. So I hope that at some point I will be able to use this as I did the old multistomps - as a self-contained setup for preamp, cab, and multi-fx. As with the old version, midi program change is available via the usb connector; to have that on a pedalboard, you need a usb host like the very good CME h4 midi that I use. The CDR allows the midi receive channel to be specified. Things it would be nice to have that are lacking: an expression pedal input; the option to pass a mono signal through and use the spare in/out as a loop to place e.g. an analogue stomp box in the middle of the CDR70 signal path. The only routing flexibility I'm aware of is the Line Selector block, that lets you toggle bypass of x blocks at the back end of the chain. In summary, I really like this stomp and recommend it, but be aware of the limitations vs the old models.

I'll stick with the original MS-60B
I already have the MS60B and was looking forward to the upgrade. I ended up returning the pedal. No Tonelib support to programme the pedal using a PC, no Android support for their app. Also when using live, it doesn't give the graphic of the rotary knob being turned, only a numerical value.. not great for live. To my ears any improvement in transparency of sound was negligible and certainly lost in the mix of a band. I've stuck with the original. They missed a trick with the new one.

A difficult pedal to use and understand
Why did you choose this product over others?: I thought it was easy to use the instructions are bad I just put it in the bin never to buy again

Bought this because I wanted something portable to practice playing and wanted to take a dip into using IR’s. Overall, I am really happy with the different amp models and sound quality. My only complaint, and I feel it’s a minor one, is when using an IR, it replaces the reverb effect on the pedal. It’s not a deal breaker, just had to place a reverb pedal in the chain before the ms-80IR+. I watch many videos before purchasing this pedal, and felt it was the best value for the price point and liked that it was not cluttered up with a bunch of other effects like all the other multi effect pedals in its price range. I really just wanted the amp models and IR functionality without everything else as I prefer to use separate pedals. There are just enough effects built in to make it simple and useful.
