Does this come assembled or do you have to build the whole thing

I was able to assemble the rack in ~ 4 hours by myself but I’m 55+ old and 5’6 so I had a size advantage! Instructions are vague but really there are 4 sides, 1 top and 1 bottom. My advice for any build 1. Dry fit parts before you start bolting anything. Envision how it should fit and test fit parts. 2. LOOSLY bolt/screw pieces together. Leave wiggle room and then tighten - by hand.

what is the hole spacing for wall mounting? I have 16 inch on center studs

The mounting holes are 21.75 inches apart.

Can I change the orientation of the door so the handle is on the right? (Ie opens to the left)

Yes, just the LOGO on the door would be upside-down.

Got the 27u. i got 3 extra 130lbs capacity shelves. will put 100lb batteries on each shelf for a total of 500lbs. is there a problem with this setup?

The rack should have enough ventilation. You will need to use the pedestal stands - part of the cabinet. If you need additional ventilation Sysracks sells the following. FU 0017.700 19" Shelf Fan 1U, 4 high-performance fans Or replace your batteries before they destroy your equipment.
