Clean light, high quality bulbs
These lights give a nice clean bright light, used them to replace some older 250lm bulbs in the kitchen and it's really transformed the room for us. The new Philips bulbs (replacing Energiser branded) are as you'd expect for Philips feel higher quality, they're noticeably heavier, not covered in cheap plastic. The use of metal helps the bulbs cooling capabilities as heat is conducted more easily, this should, in theory, help the bulbs last longer but time will tell.Obviously something like lighting is subjective but I'd encourage people to try these and see what they think, they manage to be bright without being overpowering.

Philips 4.6Watt cool-white GU10 LED lamps
I purchased another two boxes of 6 of these excellent GU10 LED lamps. EXCELLENT amount and quality of light. For a bulb that uses under 5 Watts of power the light output is extraordinary. The cool WHITE is not a cold bluish tint you get with some LED lamps. 4000 Kelvin is a very pleasing white - not too yellowish and not to cold and bluish either. With a very even 30 degree angle spread of of beam from the very clever little lens system - the effect of the lamps is very even spread of light. For some people the light colour of the "cool white" might be just a wee bit to cool for living rooms and bedrooms. Philips GU10 WARM WHITE HOWEVER, this is way too warm YELLOW for my liking- plus light output is much lower than the Cool-white version. The latest offer on a 6x pack puts the price per bulb at well under £2 making them the best value for money I have encountered for this type of bulb. I have had a bunch of these LED bulbs working now for several months with ABSOLUTELY NO FAILURES thus far.

Very good GU10 LED light bulbs with confusing energy efficiency rating
Product: Philips dimmable GU10 4000K, 575lm, 90° light angle, 6.3WPrice: £6.68Date: 22 Nov 2021 (week of 4th Covid-19 lockdown due to Omicron outbreak)Why are prices so high?1) Brexit: many EU sellers no longer ship to the UK due to added customs taxes and complicated paperwork. Fewer choices result in higher prices2) Covid-19: supply chain issues and lack of truck drivers (~100k in the UK alone)3) Industry transition: production is slowly shofting to smart bulbs like Philips Wiz, Hue, Lifx etc.PROs+ Finally 4000K temperature: a perfect middle ground between 2700K (sleepy orange) and 6500K (hospital, stadium cold) lights+ 575lm is 67% brighter than the average 375lm GU10 2700K from yoir local supermarket+ Dimmable+ 90° light angle+ Does not get overly hot even after an hour+ No noise+ No flickering+ Instant on/offCONs- Could be more energy efficient- Unavailable before 2021, and I won't replace 35x Philips dimmable GU10 4000K, 390lm, 60° light angle, 4.3W bulbs I got in Nov 2019 until I buy a new home (£234 to reppace existing lights)- Only 2 year warranty- Packaging says energy efficiency of A++ but Amazon page says F. Inclear which rating system is newer, and my guess is F is the most recent.

Last much longer than cheap brands
I like the brighter "cold" light of these bulbs. I had been using cheap anonymous LEDs, but was disappointed by their short life. The Phillips bulbs last much longer and ultimately offer better value for money.
