Yes, absolutely! You can remove about 1/2 of your vinegar and replace with un-diluted wine (sulfites removed) or take part of your mother and your vinegar to start a new batch in another container.

Q: How much mother do I need to buy to make 2 litters of red wine vinegar and also white wine vinegar?

Thank you. Each jar makes 32oz of vinegar. Therefore, you would use 2 jars in a 2 liter batch.

Q: Are there intructions with the product? How does one store the completed vinegar?

Yes, there are instructions in the packet. The Mother can be reused. Save wine vinegar in glass bottle with spigot for easy use.

Q: How long can the mother sit in the jar before it dies off?

I've left mine for almost a year and it just kept creating new mothers. You can also put it in some tupperware in the fridge with a small amount of wine, the temperature will basically put it into hibernation I've done this for over a year and then used it and it was fine.
