I'm trying to stop animals from digging, moving into, and bringing souvenirs when they visit my potted plants. I started putting gravel on top of the dirt, but when it rains hard, or you have to transplant the original plant, you're headed right back to the garden store. So, these small rocks.First of all, they're pretty. They're polished to a sheen, so they're retain their color. And they're not flat like most river rocks; they're round, like pebbles. The natural sand and brown colors look really nice with plants. Although they don't look like much in the plastic bag in which they're shipped, 2.5 pounds actually goes a long way; so I can cover the dirt in a few small pots, one large pots, or fill in the color of our water feature. And the rocks are large enough that if I have to transplant something, they're easy to pick up; it's not like I have to get out a sieve, try to pick out the pieces of gravel, and then give up. I can just pick out the covering rocks, transplant the plant, and put the rocks on top.I'm not sure I will ever defeat the squirrels, but at least I will give them, and me, some variety, and I really like how these look. Very pretty and easy to work with.

I mixed this stone with another white color stone to decorate my indoor plant. The stone quality is very good. They are in good sizes and very smooth. Even the hand touch is very smooth as well. I like that it comes with a mixed of colors so it brings variety to the decoration.

I needed some rocks for my orchids so I thought I would try these.These are beautiful. They came polished so they aren't those dull ones where they only look good after being wet. These look great dry and wet.They are so pretty that I decided to use just on the top of orchids, and used different ones on bottom as these are not to be hidden.I am going to buy some more as I think I will put these around my aloe, succulents and my Christmas cactus as well.

I intend to use the decorative rocks in flower/plant pots. While the description shows folks using these rocks to line walkways, I'm pretty sure I couldn't afford that many bags! The rocks themselves look great, mostly brown/earthy colors. I may even put the extras in a bowl as a conversation piece. Other reviewers mentioned using these rocks in aquariums. Use your imagination!

These Pulovin 15 lbs River Rocks are just what I was looking for to support a large house plant in a decorative planter. I intend to put them around the current pot and over the top, as the new planter is really something I am repurposing. I think these river rocks would work well for many craft and household projects.
