NETGEAR Nighthawk 6-Stream Dual-Band WiFi 6 Router (RAX54S) – Security Features, AX5400 Wireless Speed, Up to 5.4 Gbps, Covers up to 2,500 sq. ft., 25 Devices - 1-Year Armor Subscription Included

We picked up the NETGEAR Nighthawk AX6 (RAX54S) on sale and couldn’t be happier with the upgrade. After years of dealing with spotty connections and high rental fees from our ISP’s router, we finally decided to invest in our own—and it’s made a world of difference. Setup was quick and straightforward, and we immediately noticed improved coverage throughout the entire house. With multiple people streaming, gaming, and working online at the same time, this router hasn’t missed a beat. No more buffering during movie nights or lag during video calls! It’s fast, reliable, and has already paid for itself just by ditching the monthly rental fees. Highly recommend this to any family looking for better performance and savings.

I’m embarrassed to say we had a very old firewall router that was “not going to be serviced” anymore starting this year. At the same time, I’m texting my husband telling him our internet company is the worst because it’s as slow as dialup and I couldn’t even watch a video on my phone without it buffering! After we finally put two and two together, we bought this thing, it came same day! and it is amazingly fast and reliable!!! Easy set up and we regularly get 800-900mbps in the living room where we used to get 140mbps and 300mbps in the far back of the house in our bedroom where we used to get zero. I did have to learn why we randomly get 600mbps in the living room and 140mbps in the back of the house due to busy internet usage times by neighbors, but other than that, this thing has been outstanding.

I’m very pleased with this router. It works well.

This router sucks. I have configured a lot of routers over the years including several Netgears, without any problems. But this one is awful. I think part is product design, but part may be mine is defective. They want you to configure via smartphone app, but I wanted to connect a cable to the router and do my own direct config. That would not work, because they require you to log into (or create) a netgear account to configure it. They should make it clear that you need a Netgear account to use the product (some people may not want to). Since I didn't remember my password, I was stuck, since I didn't have access to internet to reset it (because I didn't have a working router). I finally gave in and tried the app. When I hooked up to the wifi it would not accept the default password, so no way to log in. It actually says the default password on the login screen, but mine did not work. Since it has only been out of the box a hour, I didn't change the default password. I called tech support, and waited on the line about 30 minutes. No one ever answered, but I did get to hear repeated ads on purchasing extended tech support (where I assume the still would not answer). I went back to trying the direct cable connection while I waited for tech support. On the 43rd try, it let me into the configuration page without logging into my Netgear account. Not sure why it suddenly worked once. It is setup now, but way to much work.

The NETGEAR Nighthawk 6-Stream Dual-Band WiFi 6 Router (RAX54S) proved to be an exceptional upgrade for our home network. The setup process was incredibly smooth; it was very easy to get the router configured and running, making the transition to 5g completely hassle-free. The accompanying mobile application was a pleasure to use, providing an easy-to-interface dashboard for monitoring the network, managing connected devices and accessing settings. I was particularly impressed with the built-in security features, which provided excellent, robust protection right out of the box. In terms of performance, the coverage is outstanding, eliminating dead zones throughout our house. Crucially, we can now use all of our high-bandwidth streaming devices simultaneously; 4K video, gaming and video calls, with no issues, buffering or latency problems whatsoever. This router is a powerful, reliable investment for a modern connected home.

By Luann 12345 The product came on time and was well packaged. It was easy to hook up and seems to be working very well. I’ve only had it for a very short amount of time so I can’t speak to a long-term use hence the four stars but so far so good.

This router delivers really fast and stable internet speeds, even with multiple devices connected at the same time. Streaming, gaming, video calls, and downloads all run smoothly without noticeable lag or buffering. The coverage is also impressive and reaches throughout the house much better than older routers I’ve used. Setup was straightforward, and the security features and Armor subscription are a nice added bonus. Overall, a powerful and reliable router that works great for busy households and gaming setups!

I got this router for my home office as a remote pharmacy employee. I have 1 GBPS fiber with a company supplied modem and in the 2 weeks I've had it there have been no faults in the router or interruptions to my service. It claims it's good for 3 bedrooms 25 devices and it's good for that. I have a 5 bedroom house with the router set up in the basement and it reaches up to the 2nd floor flawlessly with very minimal even negligible loss of connectivity. It was a breeze to setup with the app, only took 10 minutes start to finish! Strongly recommend this router especially with all the opportunity to increase the bandwidth in the future.
