Jolly Pirate Fish Car Emblem

I bought this as a tongue in cheek gift for my husband who has a light hearted obsession with pirates. he loves it!It is quite a sturdy little badge, with an adhesive backing that one assumes allows it to be attached to any suitable surface (my husband has stuck it on his study door). I do have a question as to how suitable it would be to stick on a car though - what would it do to the paint? And is the adhesive suitable for all weathers?Serious questions for a frivolous item, but it is all good fun for pirate lovers!

The Emblem was even more jolly than advertised. The joviality spilled forth unto the street and washed away a young grumpy couple like alike they were Arkansas trailer home in a flash flood. I know that is not a good analogy but I save the good ones for products which cost more than $8 and are not designed to be affixed to the bumper of a car, however if you are looking for a cheap shiny object to affix to your bumper, or a friends bumper, or a random strangers bumper it is hard to go wrong with this product. I give it a full 6 out of 5 stars.May his noodly appendage touch you and squirt joy upon your life.

I've had my Pirate Fish on my car for a year now, and he's survived just fine. He's not quite as shiny as when new, but that's to be expected. I used only the adhesive squares that come on the back of the emblem and have had no problems with it peeling off.I have to say, though, my devout Christian friends are curious about it...but that may be because it holds a place on the back of my car across from my Darwin Fish. Time for me to buy another one, though, because my sister wants one so badly that she's about to rip mine off the back of my car and glue it onto hers.

I've had my jolly pirate fish for a few months now and I still smile every time I approach the back of my car and see his silly grin! I'm glad to hear the adhesive works well, but had my doubts, so I used a powerful glue. Therefore I can't speak to its sticking power.It's still very shiny and does just fine in the elements and through the car wash.I love that I can give my little nod to those who get the reference but that even those who know nothing about FSM enjoy him too!

My biggest complaint is that they don't make a jollyfish that points in each direction. I affixed them to the sides of my car (one each side, behind the wheel) and it looks goofy with one facing the front of the car and the other facing the rear. So whoever makes these... go make one pointing the opposite direction too.

The emblem is very nice, with a good quality and nice design. But I think that the seller must publish a picture of the back side of the fish, because I think that is not enough adhesive for paste in the car... the adhesive seems feeble for the rain, washes and theft.

I removed the backing, and pressed it to a half-heartedly cleaned portion of my truck's tailgate. It stuck there and looks all shiny and fishy. I can say without fear of deceiving you that it looks like the picture and the adhesive works fine.On the other hand, you may want to buy a four-pack (depending on where you live) so you can replace them when offended religious people pull it off your car. :)
