Incredible sound & value in a small form.
I didn’t know what to expect from the Pro VS Mini as it’s my 1st Behringer product. Once I plugged it in, I was surprised by the high quality sounds it was producing. At $99, it sounded better than some of my other devices that cost more. It’s wonderful the Pro VS Mini has a full size MIDI DIN instead of small MIDI port or USB MIDI. Connected my MIDI keyboard & it worked easily with nothing needed to setup prior. I like that it’s Micro USB-C powered instead of 9V powered as it allows the Pro VS to be portable & easily powered by a power bank. Devices around $99 generally don’t have a screen or have awful screen that only displays number but the Pro VS has a nice screen that shows alphanumeric & the waveform. Very nice to see the actual name of the preset instead of a number. The cons. 32 maximum presets is too low. I think 64-128 should be the minimum. The touch keys are not good & too small but that’s expected from a cheap tiny device. However, connecting a MIDI keyboard fixes that issue. Overall, I’m quite enjoying the Pro VS Mini. It’s the best sounding device at its price point. It’s easy to carry around & jam wherever you go. Pro VS Mini is great entry into synthesize music without breaking your wallet.

Great sounding 80’s “stranger things” nostalgia but CRIPPLED by lack of ports
This design has issues, mainly its lack of ports to use with other devices….. but 4 stars because It sounds so freakin good. It has that pure 80’s “stranger things” synth sound. Its dripping with nostalgia and it is amazingly good except for a few things— its ability to be used and clocked to other devices in a chain. It is missing important ports that you need when using with multiple other devices. It only has one sync port and one midi port and the usb but that is for power or hooking to computer. Also it would benefit from larger memory with more than 32 patches….. at least double. I find myself mainly using this to create epic 80’s sounds that i record as samples into my ROLAND P-6 MINI SAMPLER, and play the sounds from the p-6 with a keyboard hooked to the p-6. Behringer HAMSTRUNG US by not having 2 sync ports, 2 midi ports, 2 mix ports, etc. 1 midi and 1 sync COMPLETELY LIMITS how you can use this with other devices or chained with other devices. It has to be on the end of the chain. Right now ROLAND’S mini synths are DESTROYING KORG AND BEHRINGER with the features, connections, cross compatibility, rechargeable batteries, menus and screens, etc. And sure, the roland minis are a lil more expensive at $185-$225, and they are digital where some of the korgs and behringers are analog, but they are so much more user friendly. And I dont care if they are digital… its sounds good. And if it sounds good it is good. Many of us have several mini synths and we need the connections to play them into each other and use one to control others and have multiple midi controller keyboards and pads hooked up. But the way it is now we have to put a korg or behringer at the end of the chain because of only one sync port . Im looking at my roland p-6 mini sampler right now— it is an incredible little box, it blows the volca sample out of the water with built in recording mic and usb sample inputs…. But most importantly it has the following: usb c port, mix in and out, midi in and out, sync in and out, and a rechargeable battery. Behringer; you are competing with korg and Roland. You would win that competition if you had a MIDI IN AND OUT, SYNC IN AND OUT, & MIX IN AND OUT. We need those things. Unless you just expect us to buy one mini synth and no others. If you want us to buy multiple of your minis, you have GOT TO START PUTTING THE PORTS ON THERE SO WE CAN MAKE CHAINS OF 4,5,6 MINIS TOGETHER. Its a bad marketing plan; you should be marketing these as machines you use with each other and sync to each other and use with other brands micro synths.

Haters gonna hate...
A lot of people talk smack about the big B. Not me man, not after this purchase. Their guitar pedals are usable, but this thing, whoah bro... If you like designing patches, this is a great little tool! Vector synthesis man... there's over 100 different waveforms man... 😵💫 It doesn't take up much space, the menu is easy, there's a ton of knobs, it plays well with others (midi connectivity), and up/off loading patches is a breeze. It's got a tiny little oscilloscope! I only have a couple cons... Battery power would have been great... like the Roland compacts have A midi out/through would have also been great, like the Roland compacts have A mix in & mix out would have been great, like the Roland compacts have... A 64 step sequencer would have been great, yup, like the Roland compacts have! Haha, the step sequencer kinda falls short... None of these are really problems though. I just put it at the end of the chain with my Roland compacts. It is a little bit bigger than the Rolands as well. I still use it almost every day though, it really is a fun tool! And it's kinda cool that it isn't much more advanced than the synth it emulated, gives it charm. Limitations force creativity man! Oh and the "keys" should only be used for entering steps and menu functions, you're gonna wanna hook this up to a midi keyboard, 100% This is a great first synth! You will learn a ton from this little device. Bravo Behringer

Worth it. Best in the Mini series
This lite guy is awesome. Lots of fun and you can load other patches on it. Great for quick jamming when traveling, in sounds fantastic when paired with effects pedals.

Nice synth in a tiny package!
First my con, no battery. That's the only thing I don't like about it so far. It's so small, they could have put a rechargeable phone battery in it and made it more portable. The USB port is the only way to power it so you need a good powered USB hub to use it with anything else. Even a power socket would be nice. Otherwise, it's fantastic! If has an amazing number if features and behringer even posted a software update already. I'll probably hack a battery and connector into it onto it eventually. The sounds are incredibly good for this price point. The editing capabilities mean that you can tweak and customize away. Another hit from behringer. I know, there copying a 50 year old design, but who else is making this tech now and at a price people can afford? Patents should only be good for maybe 10 years now. Tech moves so fast. Back to the product, it's size makes it great for packing around. It's features make it fun to use. It's price makes it friendly. Buy recommendation? Buy!

Would have cost $5,000 in the 80’s
Like mini Nintendo and other small devices that have been shrunken down with technology, this is a mini profit vs from the 80’s. You can do a heck of a lot more with it than just make 80s horror movie sounds though. The learning curve took me a few days and YouTube videos to be able to use it to its fullest ( 40 year musician but under two years using synthesizers) . This instrument is much easier to use than a microkorg, about on par with a ko 33 as far as learning curve goes. I would HIGHLY recommend buying this instrument honestly just in case they stop making it because it’s one of those “down the road I messed with something they don’t make anyone and now I’m sad cuz I can’t find a nice used one anymore “ (crate blue voodoo) type of things.

Amazing for the price. Even tho there's a tempo knob, I Wish it had an tempo display to actually add a tempo rate number. Still great.
