MICROBAN 1.5 oz. Fungicidal Paint Additive - Resists Mold & Mildew

You will need a fungicide paint additive if your paint doesn’t have it. Some paint will promote the fact it’s in the paint. But adding it to the bathroom paint or that shade side of a house, garage, shed, anywhere that has any mold or algae type of growth you need this product. In my case it’s for a 12’X12’ shed that’s in the woods, heavy shade and the pine trees even have some lichen type plant growth that will destroy the paint and what ever you have the paint on. Even when in doubt use it. My basement has this additive and before I did the paint there was the black patches of mold on the walls. So I knew immediately what it was and repainted with the product (final top coat) mixed in. Been 3 plus years and no black blotch spots anywhere. You won’t regret adding this to any of your paint no matter what your painting. Don’t chance it , add it !

I had a ceiling in my shower stall covered with mold spots. It's the perfect environment for mold; low(7') ceiling, no exhaust fan, and a roommate who takes very long showers. I'm at two months since I painted, and no mold to be found.

Great addition to the outdoor painting project

We are taking some time to prep the walls and using up some old paint to freshen a bathroom. With a paper filter and this hopefully it'll work out well. This is only enough for a gallon so do get more just in case. The bathroom in question holds a little too much moisture at times so hopefully this will help till we can afford taking it to the studs for more extensive changes (and a upgraded fan, we upgraded the vent a few years ago when remodeling the bath above). I've had an item change on me in the far past. At purchase this was called "Microban 1.5 oz. Fungicidal Paint Additive – Resists Mold & Mildew" This is a new product, so it's description may adjust to suit the product over time.

Perfect for high mildew/moisture areas.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This was so easy to use and very effective. Added to gallons of stain as we stained new siding. Did not add smell or impact color.

Bought this MICROBAN 1.5 oz. Fungicidal Paint Additive to Resists Mold & Mildew for a couple of walls in different rooms which were affected due to this years wet weather. These are small sections of the walls and they both have different colors. The directions are to use this with a full gallon and there is no indication on how to use for small quantities. I used a small quantity only. Let's see how it works in next year's rainy weather.
