Brilliant. No fathing about. Works as it should.

400 UV - seems good 5 days in no leaks. Isn’t silent but isn’t too noisy (if you use it in a living room with the tv on it isn’t disturbing). As someone else has said it’s eu plug so you’ll need an adapter.I had to wash the included rings and the main unit as it has a small amount of dust from the ring.The hoses can be tough to install - id recommend running the ends under the hot tap before applying them. Not only will this make it easier but when they later cool down it will improve the seal they make.There is a manual pump to use to fill the unit with tank water before turning the filter on. The uv light has its own switch. I’d recommend not keeping this on constantly if you want it to last. I’m going with keeping it on for a week every other week.If you hear sloshing water flow noises inside the filter itself - turn it off, use the manual pump then turn it back on. Seems you can't get the air out as easily while its on.Update: 1 year on still no issues.Update Two: 2 years no issuesUpdate Three: 3 years no issues

Installed into my Oscar aquarium a year ago and this thing has been superb. No leaks at all, the UV is still working, it has a powerful flow and the water is crystal clear. The tubing hasn't been cleaned and that's still clear too. The fittings are very tight but that's not really a negative when dealing with water and pressure in my opinion. I was actually bought this filter as a present after my fluval 406 (which cost about the same and has no uv) failed spectacularly during the night after only a few months of use and completely flooded my floor, known design issues apparently being the cause. Needless to say I would recommend this brand instead and this filter in particular really is very good and I actually think it's a bargain for the price. So that's my review I think this filter is superb. I hope this helps.

UV transformer heats up and has melted on 2 I have owned be careful if purchasing.

Water is crystal clear so pleased with that. Only gripe is that it comes with European plug which isn't mentioned in description.

Its exactly what external filter should be, quiet, easy to work with and reliableI can recommend, my one is now 6 months old and i head only good experience with it
