Excellent Shackles
Excellent shackles. I used these to secure 1/2" double braided nylon rope to thimble and dock eye. I lost a pin because I failed to secure the pin so suggestion: use uv nylon tie or safety wire to secure pins.

Great product design and value
I recently picked up this 4-pack of Premium Stainless Steel D-Ring Tie Down Anchors. The quality is top-notch — the stainless steel construction feels incredibly durable. Pretty nice shackles
These are some pretty nice D ring shackles by Better Boat. The first thing I checked were the pins to make sure there were no issues with the way they threaded in and out of the shackles. All worked as they should. The next thing I checked was for smoothness the make sure there are no sharp or rough edges to cut into a line. This is where it was a little odd. On two of the shackles I could feel a small rough spot but after feeling over it a few times to try to determine exactly where it was the rough feeling seemed to go away. Now I don't have the softest hands but they aren't made of sandpaper. I did find a tiny sliver of stainless on the table and I wondering if maybe it was just a particle of stainless that got stuck to the shackle and fell off after I rubbed over it a few times. Overall these are nice shackles, pretty smooth and seem to be well made. I recommend them.
