No, but you can place 120 ohm resistor across the RX line terminal block on this device. The receiver on the other end of this device TX should be terminated with 120 ohms as well.

Aside from 15kv esd and tvs overvoltage protection, does this device also have any optical or galvanic isolation? thanks

Sorry, SH-U11 RS485 RS422 module does not have optical or current isolation, if you need you can buy a RS485 RS422 isolation adapter in our store

Are these the ones that can be used to communicate with your solar charge controllers?

This has a 2 or 4 wire RS485 interface that works with most any device that has a RS485 interface, but to do the communication you need some other piece of software to connect.
