This sharpener does what it is touted to do but it definitely requires a bit of practice in order to successfully sharpen knives. I like that it is easy to carry and it will be useful for touch up sharpening in the field. If you're looking to put a fine, long lasting edge on your knife, you may want to consider something different. This seems better suited for garden tools, axes, and other such outdoor equipment requiring a decent sharpened edge. It is a quality product regardless.

It's fine for quick touch-ups, but don’t expect professional-level sharpening, especially on heavier tools.Overall, it’s a decent budget-friendly option for light-duty sharpening, but it’s not a one-size-fits-all solution.

Small, effective and convenient tool to keep the household knives, lawnmower blade, axe and hatchets sharp and ready for action! It is readily apparent when the blades are not performing as effectively as they should, and with this tool, a couple of well positioned swipes will get the meat cut, the grass trimmed level and even with no shredding and the effort to cut and chop wood becomes easier. I keep this in an easily accessible location to make sure it is available when needed.

Great for sharpening scissors. I used it on a large pair of craft scissors and my tiny embroidery scissors. Worked great on both! Very easy to use. Definitely keeping it on hand for next time my scissors get dull.

Not an ideal tool for sharpening pruning shears. By design, this tool will allow you to put on a sharper edge, but not a great one that will last or that is easily serviceable. Probably better designed for a well-maintained blade. It has value if using in a pinch, but I would highly recommend investing in a diamond sharpener alternative for much better results.
