Retro nostalgia on a 3.5" handheld screen.
First note, buy replacement micro SD cards while you purchase this, don't rely on the included cards, they fail really fast.Once you've cloned the included Micro SD cards to decent quality ones, it boots up quick and once you get your head around the menu navigation, it's a pretty good gadget. Plays titles upto Dreamcast, PS1, N64 and pretty much anything before those. There's regular firmware updates on the manufacturers website which unfortunately are full card images (use the same image writers you would use for Raspberry Pi images), so you lose the contents of the boot micro SD, so back that up first. Have a larger second SD for your games, you don't need to overwrite that one each update.Screen quality is absolutely fine for what it is, bright enough, clear enough.Battery life will keep you going for a 4-6 hour flight depending on what games you play (newer titles use more power to emulate so the battery doesn't last as long). And there's a headphone jack so you can hear it on flights or use the speakers when not bored at 33,000ft.The buttons work, nice and responsive, the sticks are ok, feel similar to the Switch. The shoulder buttons work but are a bit clumsy to use. And the grip is odd, but that's fixable if you have a 3D printer as loads of people have made grip models to add to these.Overall, I'm happy with this, and if you couldn't tell, I take it on pretty much every flight I go on for entertainment.

Poor quality
I was excited to play this. But just the same day the 2nd time i tried to play it doesn’t start the games i wanted to play. More worse when i tried to reboot it the reboot button, the games disappeared. then finally it doesn’t load anymore just stuck with a black empty screen. Im so disappointed. i hope i can get my refund asap.

Great Retro Console with Excellent Features
The Anbernic RG35XX H is a fantastic handheld gaming console for retro gaming fans. I’ve been enjoying the wide variety of games and the flexibility this console offers.Pros:Huge Game Selection: With 5515 built-in games, there’s an incredible variety to choose from. The games cover many classic consoles, and I’ve found most of my old favorites on here.High-Quality Screen: The 3.5-inch IPS screen is bright and sharp, making retro games look great. The screen size is just right for handheld gaming, and the viewing angles are excellent.HDMI TV Output: One of the best features is the ability to hook it up to the TV via HDMI. It’s great to switch between handheld and big-screen gaming, especially for multiplayer games.Bluetooth and Wi-Fi: With Bluetooth 4.2 and 5G Wi-Fi, you can connect wireless controllers, which is perfect for multiplayer gaming. It’s easy to set up and enhances the gaming experience.Portable and Lightweight: It’s compact and easy to take anywhere. The size is perfect for gaming on the go or when traveling.Good Build Quality: The console feels durable and solid in hand, and the buttons are responsive, providing a comfortable gaming experience.Cons:The only thing I wish for is slightly longer battery life. It lasts a decent amount of time, but more battery power would be a welcome improvement for long gaming sessions.Overall, this is a great handheld console with a massive game selection and modern features like Bluetooth and HDMI output. If you’re a fan of retro games, this is an awesome console to have!

Maybe it’s just mine but it don’t work out the box
The picture provided shows what my device has been stuck on screen since I got it, the Anbernic powers up and doesn’t get past this screen, I went straight to the website for help they said unplug the battery and re-plug, this didn’t work, past that they say to redownload the whole system which requires buying a whole different piece of equipment as you can’t just plug the system into a pc using its usb-c plugWhen I emailed them directly for help they told me to ask Amazon for help since I bought it from Amazon, which I think is ridiculous since it’s still there system, that like buy an Xbox from a game store and then asking the game store for technical support cos I bought it from them. Waste of money, all I wanted to do was play old gen pokemon games, should’ve just bought an old DS

Great Console - Not for the beginner
First off, buy a branded 128Gb card as the one in the console is garbage. When you get it plug it into the charger straight away, using the cable provided. You’ll need a 15 minute charge to get it going and it was really picky about the charging cable - used an Apple and Nintendo usb-c charger and neither worked. Most importantly, download the latest firmware - about 48Gb - and flash it to the newly purchased card. My console was stuck on the Anbernic logo until I replaced the card.Lots of great games on display here from SNES, Dreamcast, Megadrive etc but no N64 or GameCube and I haven’t tried to load any. Everything I’ve played so far has been spot on and the ability to save is a big advantage over the original consoles.Screen is bright and clear, all buttons responsive and accurate, but the L2/R2 buttons are tricky when inline on devices like this. Build quality is spot on with everything well finished and secure.Highly recommended if you’re happy downloading firmware and flashing it to SD cards. If you want to pick up and play, you know where to pick up a Switch.

Good when it worked
Really cool little unit, a lot of emulators, loads of games and a nice size. Played nice for the first day and then when it was turned on the next day it just stuck on a blank screen or occasionally showed a game over screen. Not worked since, sent back.

Poor pre owned build
Had this as a bday present on 23rd June. Less than one week after and does not want to boot and sits on the entry screen. Reset after reset and nothing. Really disappointed and the unit seems pre owned and returned. Don't waste your time or money, there is a cheaper option using the same core. Linux build also, so should of known it would be glitchy. Cheap card pre installed also. Avoid
