DecoArt Americana Chalky Finish Paint 8oz, Carbon,Gray

I used this chalk paint to transform an old cabinet. The paint arrived sealed and in a plastic bag in case of a spill. The paint covered fabulously and smoothly. Definitely worth the money. I love the matte finish.

Absolutely best base paint for my canvas.. 2 coats is flawless finish no brush marks.

Paint went on thick and smooth with minimal prep. I used it to transform a wood mirror. Used some wax to seal. Looks great. A small jar went a long way- painted an old cabinet afterwards that also looks nice.

It covers really well. The value is good and water resistance. Easy to clean. No smell.

Bought this chalk paint in Home Depot a few years ago to refinish some furniture. It is excellent and goes on smooth with great coverage. HD no longer carries it though, at least not the on by me so I ordered through Amazon. Still the same great product but I was disappointed the paint came spilled out of the container.

I used this on an antique oak night stand that had I painted with a light gray chalk paint but had bleed through of the walnut colored dark stain. This covered well with two coats. I love how this color made my night stand look like an expensive “pottery barn” piece. Think I’ll buy some more and paint one of my sofa side tables. I cover everything I paint with chalk paint with 3 coats of modern masters dead flat varnish for protection.

I used this paint for a project previously. I painted over an old wooden ladder. I finished it with a varnish also made by Deco Art that is designed to be used with their Chalky Finish Paints, (Americana Decor Light-Satin Varnish). Both together produced a great result. I'd never painted any decor items before so this was a first, and I was extremely happy with it.

Super easy to apply, but once it dried I realized every fingerprint left a mark, so it really needs a top coat / finish on top. Luckily I happened to have some from a project years ago that I was able to use. If I hadn't, I would have been really frustrated because I would have had to spend $10+ to buy one.

Ótima tinta chalk, dá cobertura total com uma só demão, sem necessidade de primer. Decoart é de ótima qualidade. Eu recomendo.

I purchased 3 jars of Carbon for 3 projects I had planned; a kitchen table redo, a tall boy dresser and a 6-drawer dresser I'm turning into a TV console, only using 4 drawers. My items shipped from two locations and I got one jar solo yesterday. I managed to paint both the tall boy dresser and the 6-drawer unit in a single coat with some remaining afterwards. I managed to use the rest to touch up some spots that had too much paint show though on the tall boy and the 4 drawers from the other unit. I'm still waiting on the other two jars and the wax to finish it, but I am extremely impressed with the coverage and the lack of prep required! I went with Carbon on a darker wood and a medium wood and the single coat would have been enough had I not been as conservative as I was.

This paint is the best I’ve used for chalk paint mate finish. It’s very durable! Use it with wax from same brand. Wax is, as well, very good and easy as washing a table to apply.. Cannot be used without wax for a good finish.

This chalk paint is too lit pls , don’t hesitate to buy , I painted my dinning chairs ( leather fabric ) and the paint turned out so cool , value for money , great product

One coat was sufficient to paint 🎨
