How many of these will i need for a car with really bad condensation?

I have just one. Place it on dash at night and dry it out as per instructions each week. You might need an extra if you have a bad boot too. Mine is a hard top convertible which is renowned for leaks and one is plenty in the cabin to deal with all windows.

I have bought this and have tried to charge it in microwave but refuses to go back to blue? it stays white, why is it not going back to original blue

I haven't tried mine in the microwave, I put it on the radiator to dry out. Did it after a few weeks in the car, but mine is still blue and working.

Does this really clear the windscreen overnight ?

If your meaning does it clear the frost then no. It keeps the interior windows clear and fog free when you get in. It really does work well. The other morning it was -2 and car was totally frozen, defrosted outside and completely clear within a minute of starting the car.

Can it be used in the bedroom by the window?

I use them in the corners of the bedrooms, On the out side walls where you get a bit of damp appearing, They do the job you may need two, I have tried used them in a window, But the windows get a lot of condensation over night so may help a small amount but will not get rid of it all.
