An excellent knife - and a good price!
Let me start off clearly: I love this beautiful knife. It's razor sharp; it does well with both vegetables and meat. I was so pleased with the very thin slices of tomato I produced with this knife. It cuts through steak/roast beef with ease. And it feels good to hold, to work with. The box it came in could serve as a lovely presentation box if you're giving it as a gift, and I appreciate the safety sleeve that is provided. I note that I finally could no longer sharpen my (much more) expensive chef's knife, and, frankly, I prefer this one. Time will tell, but I think the quality is excellent. So glad I bought it.

Attractive, sharp and balanced Chef knife
My knives are sad and so I finally broke down and bought a new one. The Paudin is really a great knife. I have been using it every night and enjoy how sharp and balanced it is. It makes cooking enjoyable not to struggle to cut. I also have arthritis and find the handle quite comfortable to grip. Would buy again

A little expensive
Itโs a good quality knife but when it comes to value for money I think itโs a bit expensive.

excellent quality and value
i bought this knife after seeing it rated highly on a youtube knife review. i've only had it a couple of days, but i am very satisfied with it so far. it had the packaging/care of a much more expensive knife - very nice, sturdy box and a hard case for the blade. it's very sharp out of the box, and the shape of the handle and the balance of the blade make it feel great to use. we will see how it holds up over time, but for the time being i feel it was a great purchase at any price, but an especially great value at $30 US.

Solid Cheap Knife
I did a lot of research on knives before I committed to this one. I am not ready for a Wusthof (German metal, high in carbon, doesnt get quite as sharp, but can cut through bone without chipping) or a japanese blade (vg10 or similar Japanese not Chinese, gets super sharp, but hard to keep an edge, not suitable for hard materials). So, I met in the middle with a very inexpensive blade that is suitable for the home chef. The blade was/is pretty sharp, I have not sharpened it yet and have had it for a few months. Just like any knife, a good honing after the blade has been used for a while and before each use from then on along with a once or twice a year honing and i think this thing will perform nicely. It is beautiful, light, easy to handle, and makes light of prep work. Also, I have been seeing a lot of youtubers start using this knife in their kitchen as well. What else do you want from a 25 buck blade eh? Pros: - Full Heel - Forged Steel - High Carbon Hardened German Steel - Full Tang Construction - Lightweight - Beautiful Cons: - Forged Steel? Doubtful, for a knife that is only $25. I have no real way to determine if it is stamped or forged (or both), but it does have a full tang, which is what I wanted. - The Steel recipe is likely a Chinese spin-off of a German recipe. Ingredient quality may vary. - No Sheath I'll say it again: For the price, this knife is a great performer, and if you take care of it and regularly sharpen it, it can be the daily driver for any home chef without the crazy price tag of much better quality knives. By no means is it low quality, but it just isn't up to the standard of a really good chef knife. - No Rust (I always hand wash) - No Chipping of the blade (I separate chicken all the time.. but I don't try and cut anything really dense)
