2.2 lb Matcha Green Tea Powder

Great value on matcha powder. I bought it to make ice cream. It's not artificially sweetened, but tastes good and worked for that application.

I wish the product photos showed the ingredients up-close. The name alone, "matcha green tea powder," implies you're getting powdered green tea. Very misleading. Now personally, I don't care if it's not legit matcha; I don't need the whole fancy process, I just want some powderized green tea leaves. This, however, is sugar, milk powder, non-dairy creamer, and all kinds of other ingredients. Very little green tea at all. NOT a good value for the money, if you want powdered green tea. That also means it won't taste like matcha; it tastes like sugar and other ingredients. There is so little matcha, that it is listed near the end where the tiny ingredients like preservatives and natural flavors are listed. There are drinks and textures that you can't make with this, because it includes ingredients that prevent you making what you actually want to make. It's a big bag, but a small and ruined amount of what you actually want. I hope they update the product listing to show this directly.

In my humble opinion, this is the crème de la crème of matcha powders. While I realize it is this is subjective thing, I consider the taste of this product to be sublime. I have bought other macho powder is where there is a bitter edge to it, which is missing here. The downside is that I think the great taste of this product is due to the sugar content. The carbohydrate content is also high, but I do not know how this compares to other products so you will have to do your own research. This is definitely not a health food! The product does not come with the scoop, but I use 3 tablespoons to make a 30 to 32 ounce iced green tea latte. I am anxious to make green tea cookies and other delicacies with the powder, but I have not done it yet. If you were curious, Pinterest is full of recipes for you! If you are looking for a green tea powder to make tasty drinks and treats, I recommend this brand whole heartedly. If you were looking for a healthy matchup product, there are numerous organic products with no sugar or low sugar added that you may wish to try instead. This product is all about deliciousness, so on that criteria alone, I give it five stars!

This matcha was not exactly what I expected. You have to use a lot of powder to get a strong flavor, which means it doesn’t last as long as I thought it would. That said, the taste is still very rich and enjoyable once you get the right amount. It works well for lattes and blended drinks. Overall, good flavor, just wish it were more concentrated.

NOT Matcha Green Tea Powder! The product is absolutely delicious and great for cocktails. This is NOT a green tea powder as the title suggests, this IS a powder MIX, so this isn't just Matcha a its a bunch of other flavors and other ingredients. Although the product is delicious it is NOT Matcha Green Tea Powder!

This product is great mixed with my hot tea and honey the flavor is awesome

The product is not true matcha, but and agglomeration of ingredients, which says "Powder Mix" on the bag. When I opened the nice packaging the "Mix", I found a light green powder rather than a true "matcha green" I'm a busy person and when a product says "Matcha Green Tea Powder" and the price for bulk was really good, I simply purchased it.; my bad for not looking closer. 130 calories per serving and powdered tea is listed 8th of 11 ingredients, most of which are things to (IMO) avoid. It should not be sold in the matcha category. I'm going to return and hope for a refund. These are the ingredients as they are listed: 1, NON-DAIRY CREAMED GLUCOSE SYRUP; 2, FULLY HYDROGINATED PALM KERNAL OIL; 3, SODIUM CASINATE (A MILK DIRIVATIVE); 4,DIPOTASSIUM PHOSPHATE; 5 DISTILLED MONOGLYCERIDE; 6, SILICON DIOXIDE; 7, GLUCOSE SUGAR, 8, MATCHA POWDER; 9, SILICON DIOXIDE; 10,ARTIFICIAL FLAVORING; 10,SODIUM CARBOXYMETHYL;11, CELLULOSE. ... made in Taiwan warning for allergens to milk derivatives. I'm sorry I did not investigate the product further.
