Neatly compact dashcam with fine image quality, great price too
My top priorities when I was looking for a dashcam were, 1- small and compact, I wanted a dashcam that would be hidden away from my view, not one of those that so clearly look like a camera stuck on the windscreen 2-good image quality, obviously, and I work with great cameras, so I didn't want to be disappointed. I was 'upgrading' from a standard HD dashcam (a Bestsee x9) which was great for the price, but I was curious about 4k quality 3 -not cost too much! Because I just wanted something to get the job done, not Netflix level! This GKU already had some good reviews, has got very good specifications and features, was very similar in compact design to the Bestsee, and was a very good price! You could say it was a bargain for a 4k front and HD rear dashcam kit. It also came with a generous 64Gb microSd card ready fitted, so it was literally ready to go, just stick on your windscreen, plug it in, and off you go. The required GKU Go app was very easy to find on Play Store, very easily connected to the dashcam, and is simple to use. The app' offers several settings and options for the camera, like the 'on screen' recorded information (like a time stamp etc), recording loop length, and in-car sound recording. The first setting change I made was to the 'start recording' voice announcement from the camera, slightly annoying, a simple beep would have been better. The volume can be turned up or down, or off, on this feature, so I turned it off...sorted. The front camera unit itself is nicely compact, so it's perfectly hidden behind my rear view mirror, and the plain design means it's almost hidden from outside too. It looks like part of the car's mirror fitting. This is exactly as I wanted it to be, as you can see from the pictures. I simply have the USB-C power cable hanging down, it doesn't bother me, rather than tucked around the windscreen. The kit does come with power cable plenty long enough to tuck away, and tool to help with this. This cable ends with a power socket plug (with a USB socket usefully on it). I might have preferred a USB connection cable, which apparently the seller offers to send you on request. The camera has proved to be great, coping well with bright summer sunshine, no lens flare, and has very good 4k resolution, a noticeable improvement on my standard definition previous dashcam. See the video clip attached. The included card loop records about 8 hours of driving apparently, so easily a full working days worth. I've fitted an Amazon 128Gb card which I already had, so thats loads of recording... As it's summer, I've yet to see night time footage, but the lens is said to have a f1.7 wide aperture design, I'm sure it'll be absolutely fine, especially under street lamps. The LCD screen on the back is useful and good quality too, and can be set to be on all the time whilst recording, or turn off after a short period. And also, the dashcam records GPS location too, which can locate video clips to a map when viewed in the app. So with the options of time, speed, and location being recorded, you really are fully covered. This might be particularly useful for businesses on their company vehicles, or just for making notes on a holiday road trip..? I haven't fitted the rear camera yet, but it's a neatly small unit too, with plenty of cable to reach from rear to front in a car, and really is a bonus to have it included with such a low priced dashcam kit. So I hope my thoughts on the GKU600Pro are useful for you, I'm very pleased with it, it comes complete ready to go, very easy to set up, and does the job perfectly for not much money. I have no need for more expensive dashcams, it's all here and will be in my car for years to come. Recommended!

So far so good! Recommend it! ๐
I purchased one for myself over a year ago and later on, got one for my partner as well. It's easy to set up and good quality video (front and back). I like the app, it is easy to navigate and download the requored videos. Had others in the past, but this one is good value for money. The night vision is quite good as well! Very happy with it so far ๐.

Simple set up - lots of options in settings
Simple install and easy to use - you can replace the main power cable with an A to C USB to allow invisible routing round your windscreen etc. one small issue is the need to log in via an internal WiFi to view the footage but once you do itโs clear and segmented into 5 mins (configarable) chucks. Still testing but so far so good.

Easy enough to get working, good picture quality.
I'll try and focus on things I did not pick up from other reviews to make this more worth reading... My aim was to install the cameras with the wires hidden as much as possible, but not removing any internal panels or tinkering with the electronics in our new car. So that eliminated the possibility of monitoring when parked, via optional hard wiring kit. Which, incidentally, checks the available voltage and turns off the camera if there is a risk of draining the car's battery. Tip: I got it working indoors first, plugging the camera into USB C for power, downloaded the app, got that working, and checked that both cameras were recording. Preferable, to me, to doing that all in the car. I fitted it, using the recommended route, running both cables across the top of the windscreen under the headliner, across a join in the car's cladding (so, visible for that short stretch). Main camera cable could easily be hidden behind the car's rubber strips and across to the 12v socket, using the supplied cable clips to run it out of sight across the bottom of the dashboard, behind and out of sight. I cleaned all surfaces with meths, to help the clips stick. The rear camera cable ran across the tops of the doors, in the rubber strips, with just a small section visible where it crossed a pillar and at the rear of the car. All nicely fitted and working. I checked the 12v socket loses power when the car is off, so no chance of battery drain overnight. But only then did I start worrying about airbags! Looking into it, I had crossed over two places where the side curtain airbags might want to pop out. Searching for Dashcam and Airbags, I found plenty of videos warning against running cables over them. So I looked into where the airbags are in my car, stripped out the cables and started again. A less amateur fitter would temporarily remove car cladding and run the cables out of sight, avoiding the airbags. I chose to run the rear camera cable across the bottoms of the doors, hidden in the rubber trim, with just a short stretch visible across the foot of the middle pillar. For the windscreen, rather than go across the front end of the curtain airbag, I ran the two cables down the edge of the windscreen, not interfering with the cladding section covering the airbag. To make that as neat as possible, I bought a set of long narrow cable clips and spiral cable sleeving and did the neatest job I could with those, leaving enough clearance to allow them to be opened. The cable clips are too small to carry both cables at once, so it's a bit of a fiddly compromise (one wire has to jump over, see picture), but I am happy enough. All that would apply to any dashcam, so has not affected my rating. The image quality is good. The software is fine, with an impressive amount of control and features. It's a little inconvenient having to connect to the camera's wifi network to access the pictures, rather than it just. mount as a storage device, like a USB drive. I have only accessed the videos by using the camera's software; not looked into downloading and finding a suitable player for the format (I think it uses .ts). I have not used the system long enough that the SD card gets filled; the system should automatically delete the oldest videos to clear space. The rear camera cable has a yellow section in it -- that is a plug and socket, which is convenient if you find there's a knot in the cable, after you have stuck the rear camera to the glass! There is an Allen key supplied, to tighten the hinge of the main camera if needed. Before fitting, look into where you are allowed to put windscreen cameras as far as the MOT test goes, to avoid any surprises. It may help you to know that the main camera slides into a carrier; it is only this which is stuck to the windscreen, so it can be unplugged and slid out if needed, e.g. so you can easily take it indoors to view the videos or play with the settings in the app. As I did not fit the hardwire kit, if I want to monitor the car while it's parked, I'll power the camera with a rechargeable battery, over USB C. Customer support has been excellent. The camera was around ยฃ80 when I bought it, after applying a discount voucher which was available. The instructions are very good for this sort of product, very few errors, but I wish they had mentioned avoiding the side curtain airbags. Be ready to buy more cable clips as very few are supplied. If sticking the rear camera to the glass, you can use the second electrostatic sticker supplied but there are no spares beyond that.

Outstanding Quality
Outstanding 4K Dash Cam with Excellent Front & Rear Coverage I couldn't be happier with the GKU 4K Dash Cam Front and Rear. From the moment I installed it, I was impressed by the crystal-clear video quality. The front camera captures sharp 4K footage, while the rear camera provides excellent coverage, making it easy to read license plates and capture important details on the road. The wide-angle lenses help eliminate blind spots and provide complete peace of mind while driving. One of my favorite features is the 5GHz Wi-Fi connectivity. Transferring videos to my phone is quick and hassle-free, and the companion app makes it easy to view, download, and share footage without removing the memory card. The app is intuitive and works smoothly, which is a huge convenience. The night vision performance is excellent. Thanks to the Sony STARVIS sensor, WDR technology, and F1.8 aperture, recordings remain clear even in low-light conditions, making nighttime driving much safer and more secure. I also appreciate the built-in GPS, loop recording, G-sensor emergency protection, and 24-hour parking monitoring features. Knowing that important footage is automatically saved during an incident gives me added confidence whenever my vehicle is parked or on the move. Installation was straightforward, and the included SD card meant I could start using it right away. For the price, this dash cam offers incredible value, combining premium features, reliable performance, and outstanding video quality. If you're looking for a dependable front and rear dash cam with fast 5GHz Wi-Fi, excellent night vision, and sharp 4K recording, the GKU is an easy 5-star recommendation.

This is a really good dashcam - 5 star recommendation
I have had dashcams for my car for a while now, but wanted to get a good quality 4k one for a while with a front and rear camera. I looked around and decided on this set up. It was neatly packed and contained everything you need for set up, including the all important micro SD card as well as the roof lining tool to be able to lift the roof lining to hide the wires. I was a little nervous to start with as I was concerned that the dash cam would need a separate 12v socket but handily it runs as a spur off the main dashcam. You can run just the main camera if you wish. My advice in terms of set up and siting would be to make sure that you really clean your windscreen on the inside where you want to site your camera - in my case I put it on the passenger side, behind the mirror, so it is really unobtrusive. Once you've cleaned your windscreen, be a little careful with the electrostatic sheet you then apply. It's easy to get bits of dust and air underneath it so definitely take care when you apply it, and apply it with a soft cloth. I was in a bit of a rush so used the edge of a credit card, and it scratched the sheet badly so had to throw it away and use the one that was supplied for the rear camera. Once you get going, set up is very easy. Again, just make sure when you are positioning the dashcam, ensure you are happy with the way it is lined up before you remove the cover off the glue pad. If you're working by yourself to fit it, just peel a corner of the glue pad back to start with to check your trial position. The rear one is easy to fit, but as I have a hatchback it's better to fit it to the roof lining rather than the rear glass. The glue pad for this again seems to be more than sticky enough to do this, and then you just have to 'chase' the power lead from the unit through to the front camera via the lining and the door pillars - but again this is pretty easy to do. Once they are installed, setting up the cameras with the wifi connectivity is very straightforward - I did have a bit of a problem to start with as my phone wouldn't pick up the 5G wifi signal, it would only pick up 2.5G - and so it wasn't connecting properly, but I spoke with customer services and they helped me to resolve the issue. Once you're connected you can then adjust all your camera settings as you wish. There is not a 'parking monitor' hardwire option with this camera - but I understand that you can purchase a hardwire kite from the vendor. I think the video quality from the front camera is excellent (I did try to upload a video, but unfortunately as I had set the GPS on, I appear to have fallen foul of the community guidelines as shared personal information so have removed the video - but the 4k quality is very good and even on a dull, wet day which is when I trialled it, it was easily able to pick up registration plates). The rear camera is NOT a 4k, but is a perfectly usable 1096. It shows as a picture in picture on the small screen on the back of the camera, but it records a separate feed on the micro SD. All in all - really pleased with this purchase, and thoroughly recommend it

Reliable Dash Cam with Clear Recordings
The app works well and is easy to use. You can easily connect the dash cam to your phone via the inโbuilt WiโFi and download the recordings. The product has lasted over a year so far and continues to work without any issues. It performs well even during winter months when the car freezes, causing no damage or impact on performance. Recordings are clear and include useful features such as map location, travelling speed, and time/date stamps. Footage is stored on the memory card (sold separately โ I recommend choosing the largest storage capacity), and older recordings are automatically deleted to make room for new ones. There is an audio feature that notifies you when the dash cam starts up, when the WiโFi connects automatically, and when a recording is locked. You can lock a recording either by pressing the button on the side of the camera or when the device detects a sudden impact. If you want a second option I would recommend researching this product on YouTube there are useful indepth guides to help you.

Easy to set up and use.
This Dash Cam with its WiFi connectivity to the mobile phone app is easy to set up, monitor, and download images. The 64GB card provides plenty of storage. Its use of GPS to keep date, time and location updated is great. The plastic films for attaching the cameras to the front and read car windows minimizes any loss of visibility. I managed to get all the cables hidden away but spent some time planning the cable routes if this is important to you.

Activate flight mode on your phone & disconnect your car WIFI to connect to the dashcam WIFI
I purchased the dash cam, and it was delivered in 3 days. It's a very attractive unit, small and lightweight. The installation is easy. Hiding all the wiring behind panels and rubber door seals is easy. It's best to watch a few YouTube installation videos first. I placed the power cable up around the passenger foot well behind the glove box and brought it out to the cigarette lighter in the center console. All the cabling is hidden except the cigarette lighter plug and a few centimeters of cable. I used the electrostatic stickers on the front and back windows and stuck the cameras to the stickers. The electrostatic stickers are too large, and I cut them down to size first. Using the stickers makes it easier, in the future, to remove the cameras. Just peel off the sticker with the camera attached. The only tricky part is choosing where to mount the front camera making sure the camera is out of the driver's field of vision, level and pointing straight forward. I mounted the front camera on the passenger side at the top of the windscreen next to the rear vision mirror. I mounted the rear camera in the center, top of the rear window. The phone app works well except you need to put your phone into flight mode otherwise it interferes with the app. I had to disconnect from my home WIFI and car WIFI to make it work. The dashcam has its own 5.8Ghz WIFI which is reasonably fast for downloading. The images from the rear camera are 1080p and very good. The front camera images can be 1080p, 2.5K or 4K. You can set the videos to be 1, 3 or 5 minutes long. The default one minute video time is ok. I have trouble running the 4K images on my phone, but they run well on my computer using the free VLC media player. The standard Microsoft media player won't run the 4K videos. However, I'm not finding much difference between the quality of 2.5K and 4K so I will just use 2.5K to save memory space on the 64GB micro-SD card provided. That will give me more video time. I have only been using the dashcam for one week, but I am very happy with the product and price.

Great Value for Money
Installation was very easy, even for someone with little technical knowledge. I followed a few YouTube videos from other users and had it set up quickly. The dashcam is compact and doesnโt block my view, but the video quality is very clear for both day and night driving. Connecting to the app and downloading videos to my phone was simple, and I was able to save clips easily. Overall, this dashcam works well and offers great value for money. Highly recommended.

Clear video and "snapshots". Great Value! I want another!
I purchased this for my wife's new car. I have had several dash cams in the past and wanted to get one that you could actually determine what the license plate numbers of the cars around you are. The front camera is awesome and the wi-fi (not bluetooth) hookup provides a clear picture of everything. I especially appreciate the small profile of the camera and the mount that stays attached to the windshield. Just slide on and slide off. They provide a nice tucking tool and plenty of cable to reach your dash 12v outlet. If you wish to plug into the console 12v outlet you will probably have to splice in about two feet of wire. My wife's car is a small SUV and by the time I concealed the wire in the headliner, down the window column, under the dash and to the console there was just not enough wire. It is easy to splice in a new piece however and I could not be more pleased with how it looks in the car. Easily as good as most OEM dash cams. the quality of the rear camera is not is good but I would not expect it to be since it is clearly a 1080P vs 4K on the front. I love the fact that it records and displays your speed and exact location on the recorded video and that you can view this info on your camera as well as both front and rear video displays thru the provided GKU software. I wish I would have had this setup when my wife and I drove thru an Indian reservation in New Mexico and got a ticket. I am sure that I was not speeding but since we had out of state plates we were the ones who got pulled over. I have not used it but the software allows you to put your phone in your phone holder and the wi-fi connection will send the video to your camera. I am currently converting my F150 to an overlanding vehicle to travel into some remote areas in the western states and hope to get this dash cam or their next one up in quality to put into the truck to record my adventures. Buy this and you will not be disappointed. PS: I don't drive much at night but the night time videos it have recorded have been very good. When I have recorded video in my dark garage at night just the moonlight coming in the one window and the misc. battery charger lights, orange led on the freezer telling you it is working etc. give the camera enough light so you can discern what everything is in the garage.
