I've had an iGeek DVD player since Covid first hit, and while it did the job it annoyed me from the get-go. The picture was yellow-ish on about half of the DVDs I watched, no matter how I adjusted the settings, and it was generally a noisy little machine. Lately, it has been really struggling to play DVDs - it will still play them, but you have to take the CD out, keep cleaning it, then keep cleaning the lens, etc., and after like, 10 minutes, you *might* be able to trick it to play. It felt like when the time is up on a car - you know it's time to move on to greener pastures. (This was after 4 years of fairly regular use because I borrow a lot of DVDs from the library to watch while I work.)I came back to Amazon to see what was out there and settled on the $108 DVD player that everyone was rating highly. It was pricey, sure, but if it gives me less hassle than my current one, it's worth the price. Well, nope - when that thing came, it was the size of a laptop because I did what I always do and missed reading the specs before I purchased it.So I happened upon this one - right price point, *seemingly* right size based on customer pictures, and when it came, I was so impressed! It feels like watching movies on my big-screen TV but at like, a 16th of the screen size, which is perfect for squeezing it onto my desk while I work. The sound quality blew me out of my chair - in fact, my son came out from his room to see if something was wrong it was so loud. I dropped it down to just one bar, and it was still at the perfect sound. I haven't watched a full movie on it yet, but I was impressed that it doesn't sound like a jackhammer when you're skipping around to different menus. Impressive picture, sound, and less noisy, plus it's even *smaller* than my iGeek (which I see as a plus). Most definitely the better purchase between this and the laptop-sized one. Highly recommend if you need a small-screened DVD player that does the job. And, not like I will need it for this, but it also works with your TV, which is pretty great if you need a DVD player and don't already use your gaming consoles like we do. And, of course, it comes with a car adapter for if you have kids in the car. At this price point, you honestly can't do better if you're looking for great quality in a smaller package.

Small and portable. Holds a charge for a decent amount of hours. Clear picture quality and sound. Was dropped accidentally and still works so also sturdy. Great dvd player for long car rides.

Well made DVD player with good image and audio. Perfect size and great price!

edit 6/21:updating my original review to 4 stars due to impressive customer service. Jayden made every effort to solve my issues. Thank you, Jayden!,however this unit does not play 4:3 videos with the built in display, it stretches the video to fill its built in screen. It does have settings to adjust screen type/aspect ratio, but I believe this to only work when plugged in to a regular tv set. I did not test this, as this is not the intended use for my needs. I want to play old shows in their original aspect ratio on the built in screen, please. Not possible with this unit. it does have a list of great features, as well as included accessories. This portable dvd player will stretch the image to fill the built in screen, making it look distorted and stretched out. No setting to disable this function. My classic shows will have to wait for me to find a dvd player that won't stretch out my old tv shows and movies that were originally full screen 4:3.Pros:Price is excellent. Portability is good. Battery says up to 5 hours play time for dvds. Adjustable viewing angle. Almost full set of controls are on the unit itself, so remote control not needed (but is included). Also includes car charger, wall charger, and video output cable to connect it to a regular tv.Too bad it doesn't work right for the old 4:3 videos i own. That stretched image is a deal breaker for me.

Charged it when it first arrived. Takes about 4 hours when received. Great picture and sound.Fast shipping. Everything described came as expected. Has remote control and brightness was as expected. Just a right size I needed for my exercise video. Fits in small spaces also. Packed very well.

The media could not be loaded. What a great little unit.I posted a video showing how easy and seamless the player switches from DVD to USB Card reading, to SD Card reading. The external AV out works fantastic with every TV I tried. Amazing battery life for such a lightweight unit...don't know how they got all that power in such a lightweight package. I checked out the car battery adapter and it works to charge the battery just like it should. The crystal-clear HD monitor section of the DVD Player swivels as well as tilts so you can angle the screen in any direction needed to avoid the glare of sun or lights while enjoying your favorite movie.PRO's:- Excellent quality screen and visuals. Even when casting the picture and sound through the AV connection, the quality is maintained.- Simple to use in all modes.- The Long-Life Battery is fantastic for such a light unit. Entertainment for hours and hours.- I love that it plays my SD cards and USB Drive sticks. I don't have to fire up the desktop just to check out my latest photos or videos.- The unit even plays MP3's off an SD cards and USB Drive stick. Amazing!!!!- Works great in the back seat of my truck for the kids.CONs: None thus far, but I will update this review if I find any bugs.Highly recommended. Quite a bit of bang for the buck.

Great product for long car drives. Has a long battery life and kept my kids entertained for a road trip 😊

The media could not be loaded. It works sometimes. I had many issues getting it to load a standard DVD initially, but it did finally work; long load times. I will attempt to attach a video which was probably the fastest I had seen it load, but it highlights the other issue, it is extremely loud. It is good for the value, but you do get what pay for.
