How wide is the opening?

The jars are big enough to put a large man,s hands in to it

Is the lid durable, easy to screw on/off and air-tight? Would the handle take 5kg of weight? What is the little tie-wrap thing for?

I use this for my bread flour. Top seems okay so far and screws tight. Wouldn't risk picking up by handle though

How do you sterilise it when it is stated maximum 60 degree on the information leaflet?

It's great for storing 420 food and other food
