very tasty
these are very tasty mochi that have three flavors, red bean, peanut and sesame. My favorite is sesame, followed by red bean and then peanut. They’re very chewy and they have a great mouth feel. They have a lot of filling inside. This is a great value, and the only complaint I have is that once you opened it up you kind of sort of have to eat at all or you have to put it in a Ziploc bag to ensure keeps its freshness and not stale

A Shelf Stable Japanese Mochi That Is Lightly Sweetened And Be Eaten In Two Bites
The Royal Family Japanese Rice Cake Mochi Daifuku is a shelf stable Japanese Mochi. Each 15.9oz box holds 15 pieces in three flavors - Red Bean, Peanut, and Sesame. Each mochi has a tender, marshmallow-like texture with a lightly sweetened filling and can be eaten in two bites. The Red Bean pieces have a plain white color outer coating with a red bean paste filling that for the most part is smooth but includes a few pieces of finely chopped red bean which provides an added texture. Meanwhile, the Peanut and Sesame have an even coating of ground peanut and sesame seeds to distinguish each flavor from one another. The Peanut has a smooth and creamy peanut butter filling while the Sesame has a smooth and rich black sesame paste filling. This is the first time that I have seen and tasted both Peanut and Sesame flavors in Japanese Mochi and I regularly visit a nearby Japanese Mochi shop. The Peanut flavor was pleasant but it felt like it needed jelly to compliment it. The Sesame was my least favorite of the trio. There was a stale or old oil taste that I could not overcome. I'm not sure if it was from the seeds or the paste. It was odd especially since the product has a best by date of 6 months from the date that I received it. There are 15 servings per box with each piece serving ranging from 100 Calories (Red Bean), 108 Calories (Sesame), and 112 Calories (Peanut). The manufacturer noted that it was produced in a factory where peanuts, gluten, soybeans, milk, mango, and tree nuts are also handled. If you have a food allergy to any or all of these foods, please be aware. It is recommended that the product be kept away from heat vents, damp locations, and direct sunlight. It is a Vegan and Halal Product of Taiwan. Overall, it is an ok product but my family and I did not enjoy it enough to add again to my Amazon cart.
