No period pains!
UPDATE 2::: period started two days before predicted date, mild cramping compared to my crippling ones so *yay!* and pelvic pain is mild compared to my usual pain of wanting to rip my hips off. no huge weird clots this time, just small ones and no passing pain. :::UPDATE::::: So its been a month since I started, yes I gained weight, but so did my breasts?? I feel bloated but not uncomfortable, still not pregnant! no acne like some other girls said they got. My period is due in three days so we'll see if I have a lighter period again. So far, my bleeding has actually lessened. I did pass some huge questionable clots that were almost half an inch in size, but I didn't have any major cranking besides that. My period lasted seven days, normal for me. Didn't have to use over ten tampons and pads in a day I actually only needed four a day. . Side effects for me was headaches and some nausea but not too bad, don't take my word for it, I have a high pain tolerance. I've seen taking it since Saturday, 7/11/26 and so far no breast tenderness, no cramping, and as of last week, no nausea. Effectiveness so far seems to work but I still take pregnancy tests anyways lol . I did however gain weight, I gained seven pounds since I started, so that's the bad side.

LOVE Opill!
I’ve been using Opill for over 6 months. It’s been great for me! Side effects the first month included nausea, headaches and sore breasts. By the second month I was not experiencing any negative side effects! Which is a huge plus for me, I’m extremely sensitive to BC and have always had horrible experiences with all others before trying Opill. I was really nervous about how well it would work to prevent pregnancy, I was taking a pregnancy test every month for awhile just to ease my mind & so far it’s been adequate protection, I make sure to take it at the same time every day and not miss any doses. Keep in mind the morning after pill(emergency contraceptives), antibiotics and certain medications can reduce your protection and prevent Opill from working. The pill itself is tiny and easy to take. The price is great especially compared to the cost of the BC my Dr. prescribed that would’ve cost me $400 per month. Paying $18 with no doctor appt expenses is a much more cost effective option. My periods haven’t changed much, I still have them regularly at the same time every month but they’re much lighter and only last 1-2 days. Prior to Opill I was having very heavy periods with heavy clotting and it’s been great to have such light periods now. It feels like it has helped with my PCOS and PMDD as I feel much more stable throughout the month and I don’t feel drastic spikes and crashes in my hormones like I did before. I’ve had no negative emotional symptoms, my mood has improved and been stable, no increase in depression or mood swings like I previously experienced with other BC pills. It has not negatively affected my libido, if anything it’s improved that too, especially knowing I’m protected. I highly recommend Opill, I’m very happy with it and I’m so glad I gave it a try. It’s been such a relief to find something that works well without causing havoc in my body and I no longer have to live with terrible symptoms just to be protected.

Best bang for your buck
As someone who lives in an area where over the counter Opill is about 28 dollars, I love this, I'm subscribed so I pay just over 17 dollars a month, very easy and simple to use, the pill container has the days of the week labeled which really helps me remember if I've taken my dose for the day or day prior. I've had no issues with this, the only changes are really that my period isn't a week long anymore and is more like 3-4 days. I take a pregnancy test on occasion just for my boyfriend and i's peace of mind and I've never tested positive, so you're definitely getting what you pay for, the pills are the smallest of ever taken so if you're someone who struggles with pill taking I believe these would work for you as well. Just the best option for daily birth control there is.

I've had a great experience with Opill Daily Birth Control Pills. I love that it's available over the counter, making it easy to get without a prescription. The pills are simple to take, and the instructions are clear. The packaging is compact and convenient for carrying in my bag. So far, I've found it to be a reliable and affordable option for daily birth control. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient progestin-only contraceptive

WILL UPDATE THIS REVIEW IN 2-3 MONTHS
Okay, I just purchased it and it arrived today. I will update my review in the future to share how it affected me both positively and negatively. The time it takes for Opill (norethindrone) to become effective depends entirely on when in your menstrual cycle you start taking it. Because of this, I will take it on Day 1 of my menstrual cycle (actual flow, not spotting). Why? After reading pages of info on how it works, I learned it works immediately during this time. If you take your first pill on the first day of your menstrual bleeding (Day 1), you are protected against pregnancy right away. You do not need to use backup contraception. This version of birth control has strict timing. You must take it at the same time every day, within a 3-hour window. POPs like this one are often recommended for people who cannot take estrogen due to health risks like a history of blood clots, high blood pressure, migraines, or those who are breastfeeding. Irregular bleeding or spotting between periods or changes in the timing or flow of your period is the most common side effect. I am hoping this does not happen to me, but if it does, it will be in the update. I read it usually subsides after 2-3 months if you experience it, so I will update this review around this time.

It works, but it can come with negative side effects.
It worked for me as far as preventing pregnancy, but unfortunately it came with too many negative side effects for me to continue using it. I really wanted it to work for me, and it was definitely worth a try, but it caused almost non-stop bleeding, among other things. I'm still giving 4 stars because it did do what it was supposed to do, and I think it could work better for a lot of people.
