The best Level 2 charger if you need to use it with an older 10-30P 240V outlet.
All level 2 chargers work with 14-50 240V outlets, a newer standard that supports up to 40 amps continuously, and a fourth ground wire. For homes built before 1996, the 240V outlets for dryers are typically 10-30 outlets (Y shape) without ground, and only supports up to 24 amps continuously. Even though I have a 240V outlet near garage, it is an older 10-30 outlet not designed for level 2 charging. If I want to pull a new 240V circuit to the garage, the cost is prohibitive as I have no spare space in the breaker box and the garage is on the opposite side of the house. So my realistic option is to find a level 2 charger that can work with the 10-30 circuit safely. This charger is one of the few level 2 charger that would allow you to: 1. set the maximum current to 24 amps, 2. set "no-ground" option, 3. get done for less than $200. All I need buy in addition to this charger is a 10-30 to 14-50 adapter. So far, I am very pleased with its performance. My maximum charging rate can reach 5.8kw, only slightly less than the 6.2kw maximum charging rate on Nissan Leaf. I have no issue after a few months of use.

Works great, been in service for a year
I've had this installed in my garage for about a year now. No problems whatsoever. I use the adapter that came with my Tesla. I don't use it, but I like that I could schedule charging time if I wanted to. Great for those who see lower electricity rates over night.

Works great!
The variable amperage feature is quite useful.

Stopped working after a month.
Keep your box. I threw mine out assuming I didn’t need it and it stopped working 1.5 months later. You need the box in order to return it. I thought it was the car at first, but I tried another type 2 charger and it worked. The charger just stopped recognizing that it was plugged in to a car. I attempted to get product support and haven’t received any help yet. I had to charge the car, so I just bought another one that was more expensive and had a much thicker cord. Save your patience and by a nicer charger. You get what you pay for.

Works well, but is very bulky and cumbersome for a portable EVSE
I always keep a portable EVSE cord in my Chevy Bolt EUV, so when my original OEM cord stopped functioning reliably, I bought this one to keep in my vehicle. It works well and was a good value, but the bulk of it makes it very heavy and unwieldy. The cable itself is very thick and the 110 adaptor portion is very clunky (but very durable). My Chevrolet cord was a 110-220 cord, but so much easier to coil and store when done. The display on this cord is taking a bit of a beating from the cement flooring, as I use it primarily to charge while I'm at work in the parking garage.Besides being a solid value, the cord is about 12 inches longer than my original cord, so very beneficial when I am unable to park in the space nearest to the 110v outlet.

Works fine with my Kia EV6
It’s light enough to hang from drywall that has a picture hook nailed into it, and it charges as advertised. If you’re using it as a Level 1 charger, be sure to set the current to 13 Amps (at 120 Volts it trickle-charges at 1.5kW which will charge 18kWh of your battery after 12 hours - most Americans drive 50 miles or less per day, so for normal use under those circumstances Level 1 in a regular power outlet is fine).

Stopped working in cold weather
Even though the product details say the cable can work between -13 and 113 degrees, it stopped working for me in pretty ordinary cold weather, somewhere around 40 degrees (Fahrenheit). In warmer temps it was great - good length, solid thickness, plug-and-play use with no problems. But once it got cold, it stopped delivering power. It starts working again if I bring it inside for a few hours to warm back up, but that's really a pain and not consistent with the advertised specifications.
