I have been giving pills to dogs for 30 years - my own and fosters. I am an expert!My little Shih Tzu has been prescribed a pain pill that is very bitter. I have to cut the small pill into fourths - about the size of a grain of rice. Supposed to give him 3 a day.I tried everthing, pill pockets, canned food, peanut butter, small piece of chicken, the old standard - hot dogs, cream cheese, liverwurst. He was NOT having it and found it every time.I ordered some of these capsules and handled the tiny pill piece with tweezers. Inserted into the capsule and fed it to him in a bite of my lunch - mc n cheese pasta piece (I put it in the middle). It worked. Have to see how it works with other foods

Wasn’t sure if these would be do difficult to fill that it wouldn’t save any money by over buying commercially filled gel caps. No problem!We are filling these with cramp bark powder that we’ve heard has an unpleasant taste even though it is available as tea and in tincture liquid. (Cramp bark, we have read, isn’t known to have any side effects and helps relax muscles. It’s often used by women for period cramps)

Good run-of-the-mill gelatin capsules. You can fit a good bit of material in them, and they hold up well. For uncolored caps you really can't do better.

I did purchase the kit, to break up even the chewable pills to fill the empty capsules. The capsules are tasteless, PERFECT. I can hide it in her food! She gobbles it down, without a hitch. It's way easier than the fight of trying to push it down her throat, getting bit. Not traumatic. Please buy these for you 4 paw kids!
